Trae Young's father wants him to consider returning to Oklahoma | Yahoo

Perhaps I am reading this wrong, but that quote right there kinda says it all....

“I would love for him to think about coming back and maybe being national player of the year next year,”
-Ray Young

He wants him to go back to OU because he didn't accumulate the personal accolades he sought...

Clueless as usual.

It would benefit Trae greatly to get another year of college ball under his belt, but with the NBA waving Millions of $$$ at you, would you?Glad we had you for a year Trae sorry it wasn't more productive.Go Sooners!!

Well, Griffin stayed an extra year and moved up in the draft. This year’s class is stacked, but I’m not sure about next year. Maybe he could move up into the top 5.

If he is a top ten pick I would tell him to go quick as possible. I'm not convinced the team will be any better if he came back.

He should go, his stock will never be any higher.

People said the same thing about Blake after his sophomore year and Buddy after his Junior year.

On the other hand, people said the same thing about Willie Warren.

You are truly insufferable. Have you ever read the crap you post?

I'm sure there's some JUCO you think we should sign instead of bringing Trae back, though.

He also said

"As much as I would like to see him grow and mature and continue playing in college," he told CBS Sports. "I think, with the type of season he had, it scares me to think of him coming back and not duplicating that — and having to deal with the backlash of that. It is what it is. I'm going to be honest. If he comes back and doesn't lead the country in points and assists again, and average 30 and 10, what's going to happen?"

And honestly, I agree 100% with Rayford. Trae should go get the money.

I think he should probably go and think he probably will but this does leave the door more open than I thought. Maybe it's 80-20 that he's leaving but that's about 19% more likely than I thought yesterday.

Yep.

If he comes back, it will be for personal accomplishments. Npoy and First pick in draft.

These were the most interesting paragraphs:

Although OU’s early exit ultimately comes down to missed shots and poor defense, forward Kristian Doolittle provided a small bit of proof that these Sooners did have internal issues. Doolitte said OU had a team meeting the night before Thursday’s overtime loss.

“We had a come-to-Jesus meeting,” Doolittle said. “We had to say some things that might hurt the feelings of people on this team. … It showed in our fight today. In other games, we would have given up when adversity hit.”

I'm glad that they had the meeting but it seems like they should have had that meeting earlier in the season.

I feel like they did, but they didn't actually get anything off their chest. It was more of a team meeting for team meeting's sake. Seems like last night's was a lot more useful.

He should go now. There is nothing more important than rolling in moolah, cabbage, lettuce! There won't be any worthwhile memories of his wasted time at OU, and no new memories, no new relationships to forge. He'll probably burn all of his OU gear anyway. The Sooner he can get away from his mean abusive parents and around people he can trust that will show him the "big time", the better he'll be! Go for it Trae!! Get out now!! /s
