Transfer Portal 2025

I respectfully disagree. For example, if we were to bring in the Texas girl and the UCF girl that we are in on that are still undecided those two girls would definitely take priority playing timewise over the incoming freshmen with exception to Chavez. I just don't like the idea of nine players because the depth is what will win championships. Look at South carolina. Look at Connecticut in The season's prior to this season, they were short on healthy people and only had about seven or eight players capable of contributing and it cost them in the postseasons. This season they were the most healthy they have been in about 4 years and they finally met expectations. 11 is probably the perfect number to have on a roster if all of them are capable of contributing. Which we aren't even 100% sure the incoming freshman and Caya Smith are capable of doing until we see how much they've improved before this upcoming season..

True. Of the 9 on the current roster, we know what 5 can do against SEC competition. The Texas girl or UCF should have a good chance of starting. JMHO!

Ah the namecalling. The ad hominem is the avenue of the weak-minded.

If OU fails miserably this year, then Chavez will 100% be gone next year.
They won’t fail. You are talking about a program that won two consecutive big 12 titles and finished in the top 4 in regular season and tournament of the SEC this season. Additionally made the sweet 16 this year, brings back most of their production, and signed the number one player in the country from the state of Texas over Texas, LSU, and South Carolina.

You do seem to Iike using over the top inflammatory language about a team of which you are supposedly a fan. That’s going to attract inflammatory responses. The portal has been a disappointment so far, but that doesn’t negate all of the good things that have happened with the women’s basketball program.

Yes, getting Chavez is great! I am not discounting that. What I am saying is that roster management has been abysmal this year. I think it is 100% due to the well being dry, money-wise. They spent a lot to get Chavez, no denying that. I think they have very minimal amounts to work with, and can't get any top transfers to consider OU because of that.

Bash away. But I am an CPA, and am not allowed to believe in coincidences. The lack of any transfer visits, aside from one, screams no money in the war chest right now.

I'm not going to complain about anything JB is doing.

But yeah, they really need to find a couple of late adds. You have to have more than 9. I wish they could take a flier on a homer pick like Kirston Verhulst but alas, she's 2025 and committed/signed to Mid Tenn St.

Seems to still be trending to OU here though...but things are sort of quiet follow-wise. Some Vandy follows. Still monitoring.
