has been near instantaneous for LA. It's like the difference between night and day.

Not ready to put them in the top-3 of the west yet. I'd like to see what happens in this LALA game first.

Their execution at the end of games is already rapidly improving on both ends of the court.

Last 3 games the Lakers have outscored opponents 81-53 in the 4th quarter for an average of 27-18.

Howard is becoming a beast on defense and Nash is getting them wide open looks. Too many people to cover. It will be interesting to see if Nash gets serious MVP talk if they continue to improve and have the best record in the West after the allstar break.

We'll see if Nash stays healthy enough to make that big of an impact for the whole season. I tend to wonder.

The 24 games Nash missed due to the fracture was the longest injury of his career. At the end of the day it should help him. Those games will end up being meaningless and he looks very fresh right now. They definitely waited for him to be 100% before returning.

I agree with him looking fresh and he says he feels really good. Even with his history he can't escape time. We'll see.

Nash has done wonders already for Gasol/Howard. He is really a great set up guy, and people forget how deadly he is shooting the ball. He just doesn't turn it over and he doesn't make mistakes......

The last 2 games the Lakers have beaten quality teams. In both games they have gotten stops in the 4th quarter, something they didn't do at all early. MWP is playing the best ball of his Lakers' career. He is playing great offense/defense, and rebounding well.

You can tell with Nash, they believe they should win. The confidence level of KB and D-12 is way up. Really fun to watch!!!!!

Melo is also playing lights out. With KD, LaBron, Westbrook, CP3, and so many others all playing so well, the league is very fun and entertaining right now. Big time hoops being played in alot of places.

Yep. The last 5 minutes of yesterday's game showed just how dangerous the Lakers can be: Kobe dispersing rather than jacking-up shots at a rate of shooting 41 times like he did the other night (no excuse for that to ever happen on this roster), Nash hitting open jumpers, the bigs' involvement increasing, etc.

Nash clearly hasn't showed any signs of slowing down offensively, and it looks like he's back to full-strength. If the Lakers can get hot and gain an ideal spot in the Western standings, perhaps they can rest Dwight for a few games. I read an article in which he was lamenting his current status, stating he is not close to 100%. The rest could only help. Other than that, it looks like this team can make a serious run like we all expected in the preseason.
