Tre Evans

They've been guys that needed to develop. Juco players that hardly play. Manyang who many thought would start going into the season doesn't even see the floor.

I would much rather take Evans who just got a triple double and is on an undefeated team over another juco guard in Strong.

I think I will trust Lon here.

every player cant be an all conf player. there are guys brought into every school that rarely get to play. Its called being part of the team.

Walker has served his purpose and has done a decent job. AK will serve his purpose next year. Strong is a backup PG, he will serve his purpose

If you had 13 stars who all thought they will start, youll have a ton of transfers and unhappy folks.

Your continued knock on Kruger is comical.

It's unbelievable that you think everything he does is perfect. Last year we had no depth bc 2 guys he brought in redshirted. We got lucky that Thomas was eligible to play immediately. Here we are this year and James is the only guy in this class giving minutes.

It's comical that you are still so high on AK

I trust that Lon can turn water into wine. I'm just wondering why he's not taking Evans. There's quite a few oklahoma kids that would be playing over guys on our bench. The other Woodard is a perfect example.

Both Buford and McNeace are playing quite a bit, Buford more than McNeace.

We have 4 seniors and a jr who is a 3 year starter so we knew not many of last years recruits would play much this year. I don't see how that sentence (in bold) can be used as evidence LK can't recruit.

As far as AK is concerned...we saw Saturday why he doesn't play much. Personally, I've gotten to where I prefer McNeace over him anyway.

Those 2 were in the class before.

Have you seen him play ? I have seen him several times hes a nice player but probably a mid major.

Ive asked this before. No answer. Nice player, maybe like older woodard, by year 3-4 he'd be a nice role player.

We have a player that was within an assist of a triple double on Saturday and hes in not OU caliber. So one triple double in a high school game means yes he can play for OU?

No. He's a dominant pg on an undefeated team. Most high school coaches I talk to are baffled that ou hasn't offered him.

Most HS coaches never have seen or coached a d1 level player. OSU hasnt offered, TU hasnt offered, ORU hasnt offered...

I suppose your HS coaches are smarter than every d1 school in the state.

This coming from the guy who went on and on about AK coming in and dominating and starting right away and yet he doesn't even get any minutes.

OU has 2 PG's for next season: Jordan Woodard and Darrion Strong. We also have a ~50% shot at Trae Young for 2017. I would rather have Trae than Tre...... If we don't get Young, then I'll take our chances with the kind of player OU has been signing recently. We can get someone as good or better than Tre Evans in 2017. JMHO.

If one of those guys gets hurt, then we only have one.

Honestly, it's fine we aren't bringing him in. I much rather have him over strong but strong is signed. 2017 seems to be krugers breakout recruiting year.

Mizzou is recruiting him now. So he's now no longer a mid major recruit.

well, that's kind of a stretch...lol (just kidding...but they are bad and they have a D2 coaching coaching them..)

I agree with most of this, but AK has been very disappointing. There were some saying "he is a NBA player", which is laughable right now.

Strong had a solid offer list (e.g. OU, Miami, Iowa State, etc), and was 1st team juco AA as a freshman. I also like that we're only obligated to him for 2 years. As far as I can tell, Evans doesn't have a commitable offer anywhere other than Old Dominion. He still may be a good player though.

I think McGusty or even James could play some backup PG if Woodard or Strong get hurt. In fact I think Strong is supposed to have some shoulder surgery now that his juco season is finished. It might be interesting to see how he recovers.

Fair enough. I still think AK helps. I couldnt have forseen the months and months of injuries.

But to say Evan is a dominant PG is a stretch.
