I will add, the local KC sports talk station a few days ago had a guest on, I think it was Jason King from Yahoo Sports. Anyway, he said some of the UNLV folks felt Kruger had taken the program as far as it could go so they didn't even try to bump up his pay, and one reason for that was because of their budget issues (as well as they didn't think he could take it any further).

King has pretty good sources so it very well could be true but if it is, the folks at UNLV have egg on their face now.

And the UNLV folks probably wouldn't like to admit it, but the OU brand will open some doors that the UNLV door wouldn't.

He loved the Vegas job and they loved him. It took a while for some of the supporters to realize he wasn't going to cheat which was new to them.
Joe was persistent but Lon never said no. I don't think it is going to happen isn't I'm not going to OU. Great hire by all of our administration.
