Tyler was the man! Really. He grew up a bunch in this game. You can just see his confidence grow with every outing. LOVED the way he played today! And with Cam in foul trouble and contributing very little today, it couldn't have come at a better time.

Great game, young man! Keep that hair short! :)

Agreed. Great game, Tyler.

Several Sooners – Tyler included – are determined to prove they are indeed good enough to not just contribute, but also excel, at this level. Great game, guys.

Neal is certainly playing his way into the starting lineup. He does a lot of things really well...shooting 3's, rebounding, defense, and I just like his attitude. He's really on the verge of becoming a special player.

no he's not .. he has 0% chance to be a starter this season unless someone gets hurt ..

Agreed. But that's ok. Quality minutes off the bench are just as important as who is in the starting lineup. If Tyler can come anywhere close to the performance he had tonight, this team will win more games than anyone thought possible.

He certainly was a pleasant surprise off the bench yesterday. The crowd really fed off him as well. If he can continue to give us some of that "instant offense" we were supposed to get from Newell, then the loss of Calvin won't be so devastating.

The good news is, I don't think Cam will have a worse game for the rest of the season as he had yesterday, so Tyler won't normally be counted on to play as many minutes going forward.

Myself and another old man were sitting at the scorers table watching practice about three weeks ago. Tyler was raining in three's from all over the gym.

One of the staff members (it might be talking out of school to use his name) walked up and initiated a conversation with the other guy. They seemed to be well acquainted.

My fellow observer asked the staff member if he thought Tyler could shoot three's at a 40% clip in games. The reply was," I don't know, but, if he can, he will play alot of minutes".

Now, I don't know if Tyler can maintain his current clip or not. But, busting 40% is a pretty rare. If he can, he will play alot of minutes.

I thought that one of the fouls called on Cam was ridiculous but it gave TN a chance to shine and he did. He's not quick on defense but will get better with experience but a good game on both O and D.
