Still early obviously, but looking good.

17.8 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. They only had to give up Greivez Vasquez for him.

Dang it abd, just when we finally stop hearing about this guy from Boca, you bring him up again. :)

Who was it that he use to say he was better than? Was it westbrook or harden?

I think it was Harden.

17.8 points on 17.3 shots. Even though he's making 3s now (at least through four games), he's been throwing up a ton of bricks otherwise. His eFG% is .442, which would be the second worst of his career. That's not efficient.

If Evans could consistently convert 3s in the high-30s, it would do wonders for his game.

I guess he's contributing in other ways though, so that's good, though I'm skeptical about whether the assists are coming from actually being a playmaker that's consistently setting up his teammates, or if it's simply a function of having the ball in his hands all the time. He average nearly 6 APG his rookie season despite having major tunnel vision.

They didn't just give up Vasquez for Evans. They gave up Vasquez AND shelled out 4 years, $44 mil, which I still think was a bit of an overpay, though not an egregiously bad one, especially as the cap escalates.

Definitely Harden, but I think it was both.

Come on man ... it wasn't just me virtually everyone was on his bandwagon. Dude was the second coming his rookie season. Winning rookie of the month all the time, triple doubles, mvp of the rookie soph all star game, only rookie other than Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan & Lebron James to average over 20-5-5, rookie of the year ... then he turned into Wesley Johnson. lol biggest disappearing act you will ever see.

Well, he is off to a great start this year. Obviously better than Wesley Johnson, lol.

Will be interesting to see if his numbers hold. 18-8-6 right now. There are a lot of good players around him on the Pelicans this year.
