UCONN needs to make room

I don't discount Louisville. But, I think the best team in the nation as a collection of talent and coaching is UConn, and Louisville will need a little luck. I thought ND was better-coached through the season. Tonight, I thought Geno took that lead for one game.

I was proud of all the teams in the Final Four. They were all made up of quality players and quality coaches.

How good is Breanna Stewart?

I think we're finding out. It makes you wonder what sort of numbers she'd put up somewhere that she was it. Whem she drives she looks more like a guy with her length. And where's Doty? I saw her on the bench. Is she hurt?

It's a shame though that they had to put the officiating crew together for this game.

They said she starts games but her playing time is based on the matchups. I would imagine that's a nice way of saying her 3 ACL injuries limit her.

Yeah, and they only have 11 on their roster! 1 or 2 others are out for season. Don't know why they don't play Kia Stokes when Dolson is injured. I'd at least get her out there and see what she can do. Don't know until you play her.

I don't know how Geno talks that many Parade and McDonalds All-Americans to come to Storrs.

Uconn is young, need to make room for 3 in a row

No kidding. Look how many freshmen they have playing a major role.

She didn't get in until scrap time. Earlier in the year she was getting good minutes. Maybe those younger girls are just better than she is now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Stokes hurt her knee during the year? At one time I thought she was out for the season. Who wouldn't want to have their bench playing all the time.

Six straight FFtalks pretty loud.

Hello, my name is Louisville. So you say that you're unbeatable and that you're guaranteed to win the national title, eh? That's totally original and I haven't heard that anywhere before.

For a reference, please call Kim ... oh never mind, don't do that.

To be fair to UConn, I don't think they'll be taking pictures with NBA players prior to their game w/ Louisville and I think Geno will take them more seriously than Kim and her players did. That doesn't mean UConn is a cinch to win the game, but it does mean they have a good chance.

:clap:clap:clap:ez-roll:

Did you see them talking about the requirements UConn players have? They were talking about last night before the game and the players cannot wear fingernail polish, always required to wear panty hose when out, etc! I was a little taken aback by all the requirements to stay in the program. Wonder if maybe this was part of Delle Donne's reasoning for leaving UConn???

No, I missed all that. I never tune in until a game is about to start. What were all the requirements? I just hate the hype before the games.

Delle Donne left UConn because she realized she would be much happier playing close to home. Being near her family meant more to her than playing for UConn.

I know that's what she said but I wonder if this didn't have a small part in that decision. I didn't think women wore panty hose that much anymore! Especially 18-21 year olds!

Didn't hear all of the requirements except the 2 above. I know Geno doesn't pamper the stars.

Based just on the stories about her that aired during the Delaware tournament games, she seemed very genuine and down to earth. I would think that Geno would make those requirements known before players even sign their LOI.

Well Louisville if you show up and play the first half like you did last night you can just fire up the bus at halftime. You're going to have to play the game of your life while UConn craps their pants. Good luck on that.

Agree, the game that the Louisville women played against Cal won't get it against UCONN. The Cardinals had better bring the same caliber of game (and shooting) that they put on the floor against Baylor... and that might not be enough, as I think that Geno can and does coach circles around Mulkey.

I know that L'ville is the Little Train that Can, but I think that UCONN writes The End to the storybook tale...

I don't see UConn not adjusting should Louisville pose match up issues. And I think that UConn just has better ballplayers and more of them. They have athletes up and down their lineup and are going to go 6'4" and 6'5" inside. I'd love to see Louisville give them a run for it. There's nothing wrong with someone new.
