I think they said Maryland lost 3 players off last years FF team and they still made it back this year. Pretty amazing if that's true.

They ran the table in the Big-10 this year. But they have a massive hill to climb tonight.

UCONN out hustles and out works every team they play. They also make fewer mistakes. That's coaching.

And just think what would happen if they had a few decent players.

If we could just get one of their top six it could change our program. They're going to lose Lewis and still be a steamroller. I've been in love with Jefferson since she stepped on campus.

Sucks for ND. They worked so hard to be the one to step in front of the bus.

Did you see the interview Gruden had with Geno? Geno said that the girls don't make the decision on what is enough and when they've done enough. He said he's the one that decides what's enough.

I'll bet the players don't decide who he recruits either.

He made some comment of which I'm not certain about being able to distinguish between good and great players. I thought he was talking about recruiting. He seems to have a better idea of which players will be great. A lot of recruits with huge names just don't do as well at other schools.

What about Tuck. Was she highly recruited?

She was highly-recruited by UConn. She was a WCBA All-American and a member of the U-17 teams, twice. She was well thought of.

Our coach has said pretty much the same thing in other words, talking about redefining players' definition of 100%. I imagine pretty much all successful college coaches are in that business.

I thought the same thing, Norm. I bet he does not let the players decide whether he signs a player or not.

Actually I think I read somewhere him saying the last step in the recruiting process is to get his players opinion about how the recruit will fit into the team.

I may be able to find that quote if I get time to look.

Your clear implication is that at OU the players decide who is recruited. Are you really stupid enough to believe that?

No need for name calling... Uconn unlike any other school, can have a High school All American not play if they don't put in the work to see the floor...

Not who gets recruited, just who signs. Are you saying this is news to you?
Put that way it is news to me. I might buy that they have, um, shall we say "veto power." And I have no problem with that at all. If the "guys" think someone would not be a good fit, that recruit is almost sure not to be a good fit.

I guess you are stupid enough to believe that. We all know they get input, as apparently UConn players do also. But the final decisions are made by the head coach, both at OU and UConn. Are you saying this is news to you?

What makes you think Geno cares what the players think about recruits? I've never heard or read that.
