Uh Oh, Clippers owner

that was painful to listen too... Talk about a choreographed set-up!

How do not see that?

Sterling is an idiot and racist no doubt but that was the such a phony acting job by the female. I'm sure TMZ paid her well...

I guess her acting was good enough to fool Donald Sterling.

He's obviously a racist idiot but I heard 10mins of purposely recorded conversation with the female trying to bait him with question after question....

He's an ignorant old fool just like the fat welfare rancher in Nevada. Adam Silver needs to place his stamp on the NBA right out of the gate & force him to sell.

She did not bait him a bit. What she said is what matters which is what's in your heart. Sterling thinks saying "black" instead of the N word makes him less racist. Just like the idiots who called Stanford All Pro Richard Sherman a "thug" instead of the N word. Hidden racism is no different from overt racism. You can't be "baited" into saying those things unless it's in your heart.

To anybody who thinks one race is superior to another I leave you with Snoop Doggs response to Sterling.

Warning - explicit language

Right or wrong, it shouldn't be any of the NBA's business.

Just like schools that try to punish kids for stuff done away from school, during non-school hours. It's an over-step of boundaries.

He is tarnishing the NBA brand. It's the quintessential definition of "their business". No different than pro players being suspended for getting arrested.

Since this is his umpteenth violation time for a lifetime ban.

There is a huge difference between his ignorant statements and getting arrested. Getting arrested is a violation of the law. Saying this nonsense is Constitutionally protected speech. I am not saying the NBA taking action would be a violation of his free speech rights but there is a huge difference.

This.

If the NBA didn't do anything when he broke the law and wouldn't rent to minorities, not sure how they can do anything here.

Why do people continue to make this clown argument? The free speech provision in the constitution only protects you in the courts. It does not extend to the private sector where other citizens have the right to call you an idiot, boycott your business, fire you, and spew whatever free speech they see fit right back in your face. Seriously, it is amazing you call yourself an attorney and repeat this clown nonsense that other citizens objecting to or punishing what a person says violates their free speech. Only if the government imprisons or fines you was your free speech violated (see Russia/China). Good grief.

Blake is in the perfect position to address this. As Steve said can you imagine the pain this causes his parents? Can you imagine the crap they likely endured? He can say Sterling is an ignorant clown and when my contract comes up if he stills owns the team I'm gone.

If you can be "baited" into saying those things then you are an effing racist.

He definitely needs to be suspended and probably will be encouraged to sell. Who would re-sign or what free agent would sign with the clippers over another team now.

Just like players and coaches get fined for what they say if it hurts the league's image Sterling should too.

Obviously you are not one of the more literate people participating in this forum. I specifically stated I was not saying it would be a violation of his free speech rights for the NBA to take action.

I think that the league probably has some ownership standards or agreements in writing as a part of the contract with the league that will provide options. It would not surprise me that they would have to option to take control of the franchise and sell it to another owner, providing only that he receive his compensation.
