Undefeated in non-conference!

Before the season started, there was a lot of talk about how we were playing our hardest non-conference schedule in recent memory. I thought 10-2 was both an optimistic and reasonable prediction for the non-conference record. But now that the LSU game is complete, we're officially...

:woot UNDEFEATED IN NON-CONFERENCE PLAY :woot

I briefly scanned soonerstats to see the last time this happened. In both 1988 and 1990, we lost one non-conference game. But it looks like the last time we went undefeated was 1973... and we only played 6 NC games then. This is no small feat, especially given the level of competition. I'm very proud of this team, as always. Now.... on to winning the Big 12.

Wow. I think you're right. Something that hasn't been accomplished at OU in over 40 years! This team is a hell of a lot of fun.

I said before the season started I would be disappointed if we lost a home game.

Never dreamed we'd go undefeated in non-conference with the games we had scheduled. Pretty much figured the Nova and LSU games as possible loses. It's not like we played Missouri State or George Mason.

I thought our only non-conference loss would be Villanova at the start of the year. When we just completely dominated them I really started to believe that this team could win it all.
