Ijeoma Odimgbe Was never a top 100 player maybe she was last summer but she hasn't been ranked in a while, I think it just shows that the big dogs aren't looking at OU... Hopefully that'll change
Yes, she was. She was ranked something like about #70, but she was ranked. When Dungee was an OSU commit, she was as high as #12. As soon as she became an OU commit, her ranking fell to about #20-25, despite the fact that she made the U-17 team.
Why do we care what ESPN thinks about our women's basketball commits? Since when were they a haven for knowledge on recruiting? There is no Rivals or Scout for Women's recruiting (that I know of). But I will never trust ESPN's recruiting rankings.
Ijeoma Odimgbe has been listed as the #18 Forward for a long time now...

You are right Dungee ranking has continued to drop the more she has played against top national and international talent. That would indicate to me that she has not continued to develop at the same rate as her national peers. All we know for certain is the more she has played against top talent the less the recruiting gurus think of her performance and potential. For certain It definitely does not indicate anything about the University of Oklahoma and who they sign.
I have seen Dungee in highschool games twice and in an AAU game once recently. She was outstanding in the HS games, but I wasn't certain of the competition. The AAU,, I thought, would be a better measure. She was, by far, the best guard on her team in AAU ball. She was the only guard on her team that could handle the ball against the other team's guards. She was not the guard the coach seemed to favor, and she didn't get as much playing time as two other guards who really should have been benched. But, she did right things right when she was on the floor while her teammates didn't. One of her teammates is ranked in the top fifteen, and Dungee is the better prospect. You are right Dungee ranking has continued to drop the more she has played against top national and international talent. I'm sure that a lot of rankings even with Rivals and Scout depends on who offers and who they sign with. OU, even with 3 final fours with Sherri don't seem to make much of an positive impact.
I watched two of Dungee's games with Salisaw. Looked like there was some politics going on. Other less able players were dominating the ball and the shots. Dungee was mainly cleaning up. But when they took her out of the game the other teams closed the gap.
She looked pretty good to me. Not as good as Llanusa but good. Looks like a strong player who can play inside or outside with some shooting touch. Not as quick as Llanusa. But like Llanusa Dungee seems to let the game come to her rather than forcing it. Didn't seem to stress over not getting the ball much.
