I know that some of you aren't a big fan of the Sagarin rankings, and prefer the RPI. But personally I like the Sagarin, and thought I'd share.. The rankings and SOS are based of off a win/loss margin, which explains why most of the Big 12 teams are so high (we play a lot of quality teams in conference, duh), plus Tulsa is helping us out big time.
BIG XII - 7 Teams in the Top 25
#10 KU 19-3 8-2 vs top 25. 9-2 vs top 50 SOS #1 in country
#12 OU 15-7 6-4, 6-4 SOS #3 in the country
#14 BU 14-5 3-3, 3-4, SOS #7
#17 WV 18-4 1-3, 2-4, SOS #59
#18 ISU 16-5 4-2, 6-3 SOS #20
#22 Tex 14-8 1-7, 2-8 SOS #13
#25 OSU 14-7, 3-4, 3-5, SOS #8
#51 TCU 14-8 0-7, 1-7, SOS #142
#82 KSt. 12-11 3-5, 4-6 SOS #10
#139 TT 12-11, 1-6, 1-7, SOS #96
I find this to be pretty accurate. If I was to Rank the Top 25, I'd probably have 5 teams between 10 and 25, non in the top 10, and have UT and OSU somewhere between 25 and 35. So, IMO, this ranking system is pretty dang accurate.
Hope you enjoy!
