Uzan going pro

Did he shoot 44 percent at OU? Did he shoot 50 percent in the NCAA tournament at OU? Oh that’s right, he didn’t go to the tournament at OU. Guy was significantly better. Missed so many easy shots at OU that he made at Houston.

Stick to being a fake insider?
“Significantly better”?? He shot over 40% from 3 his freshman year…Porter just didn’t coach he as good his soph year I guess. 🙄 His stats are marginally different from last year (mostly flat). If I’m him, I take another advantage of a year in college and the NIL. I wish him the best whatever he decides though.

Just think if he made his easy shots? Jeez. You wrote the main point of my comment.

I said stats were almost identical except he made 20ish more 3’s. .5 per game

not mentally tough enough to make it 82+ games without sampson having to constantly ride his ass. love his midrange game though. he’ll show flashes, but meh.

Nothing like using advanced stats to prove a point. Usually when you have to go to that, you've lost the argument. Especially when Sampson is 1. A 5X better coach than Porter. 2. Has a 10X better roster than OU had with Milos. But yeah, advanced stats.

One would have to be biased to say Uzan's overall game did not take a big leap in the second half of this past season. When he gets to the NBA, I just hope he plays like he did in January - March, and not like he played in April. He was downright awful in that title game. In fairness, I remember how poorly Buddy Hield played in the Final Four on the biggest stage of his life...didn't seem to hurt his NBA career :-).

He made improvement, no doubt. It isn’t something that I wouldn’t expect someone to make when they go from sophomore to junior season, however.
Exactly. It’s so convenient to say he only improved because he plays for a different coach, knowing we will never know because he didn’t stay. It’s a pointless discussion unless common core stats are significantly better. With Los, he is a better defender, but I would expect that with Kelvin and would never argue that side, but offensively, he’s marginally improved, with the main improvement being in his 3 pt shooting %…but he’s simply shooting like he did his freshman year.

Oweh had the same stats he had this year in the non con last year. He was averaging 15 ppg going into conference play, then all the sudden couldn’t dribble or hit a lay-up. That’s not coaching imo. The two last second OU heroics this season are the same kind of play he made against USC at OU last year. He went into a slump. A major one.

It may have been mocked at 1 point but seriously any mock draft prior to April of that draft year really doesn't mean much. So many of the early ones are just pure projections with 0 basis.
At ou at that time. There was magazine articles that had longer longer late first early second watch list before final season. But theses were probably regional trying to draw purchases.
