Victor Iwuakor

Freeman is graduating so he may decide to call it a career. This is just my speculation.

I'm not a fan of him, but he is getting playing time this year. Are we sure he is just going to leave when it seems likely he'll get playing time next year as well?

yes good chance

I'm just praying for a grad transfer big. We saw what this team was with a healthy Muni and then without. In a guard dominated game, you still have to have a big who can hold down the post. They don't have to be a star, we all know a healthy Muni isn't. That player isn't on our roster for the at least the next 2 years currently.

Healthy or not, we had both Lattin and Muni last year, and still went 1-7 in the month of February. Will a transfer big really help that much next year?

It is practically a sin to not redshirt Polla.. They need to go ahead and do it after this year.

What do you think is a more likely outcome:

A) You dont' redshirt him and wish you had him for another year; or

B) You redshirt him and wish you had a scholarship to use on someone else for that 5th year.

I don't feel there really are any similarities between last years team and this years team other than a poor month of February. Young, Shepherd, Lattin, McGusty are gone and Doo missed half the year. This years team, IMO, is closer to the 2013-14 team Buddies sophomore year. Just not quite as good. That team was 23-10 (12-6) and a first round out in the tourney.

PG: Woodard
G: Cousins
SG: Hield
F: Clark
F: Spangler

Bench: Neal, Hornbeak, Booker, Bennett

The following year Honrbeak, Clark and Neal are gone. TaShawn Thomas Grad Transfers in and Lattin and Muni (Redshirted) come in as freshman. Buddy, Isaiah and Spangler are Juniors and they go 24-11 (12-6) and make the Sweet 16.

This years team to me is about a step behind that. I believe a grad transfer big would help. Spangler and Thomas were Forwards who could bang in the post on both sides of the ball. That is something we don't have on the roster for the next few years. Doo and Manek are forwards who are more perimeter oriented. Polla can bang, but he's just not quick enough to really be effective on either side of the ball. Are they going to the Sweet 16 next year...Highly unlikely, but look more like a first or second round team with potential.

In comparing each team:
Woodard < Bieniemy/Harmon
Cousins > Reaves
Hield > Manek
Thomas > Doolittle
Spangler > Grad Transfer

Bench: (Booker, Walker, Lattin, Bennett) < (Williams, Hill, Kuath, (Harmon/Bieniemy)
