I have to say, I like what I see from Polla in that video. Obviously, we know nothing about the level of competition but he's definitely got more agility than I imagined for a guy carrying 260 lbs and it looks like 260 lbs of muscle, not much flab at all. This team could really be exciting over the next few years.

Not sure how swift of foot he is, but he isn't what I imagined when I saw his measurements. He won't be as fast as the others, but it also doesn't appear that the shot clock will expire as he is making his way down the court

One play that stood out to me watching Polla was when he took a bounce pass in stride while running through the paint then went up for a layup in one motion without dribbling. He also spoke a lot about footwork and how important it is which sounds like he intends to work on being fundamentally sound. Going to be fun seeing him and the rest of the guys develop!!

Impressive class! TY's talent speaks for itself. Manek is not just a shooter, he's one heck of an athlete. He makes everything he does look easy.

This is our first decent chance to see Polla in action. He may not remind anyone of a Gazelle, but a kid his size is not going to wow you with his quick feet or speed. He's more like a Rhino in that he uses his size and strength to get to where he wants to be. The reports that he is an old school center are spot on. I like what I see! I'll be surprised if he doesn't play his freshman season.

I disagree, kid is a good athlete with lots of feel around the basket. Plus he's got rebounding on his mind and some pretty good hop. If he was a local kid he'd be a high four star.

I didn't mean to suggest that Polla is not a good athlete. I was focusing more on his speed and quickness in comparing him to a Rhino that is big and strong enough to go where he pleases. Anyone who has seen a Rhino charge a predator would not hesitate to say they're athletic..

True. I remember those arguments well. Remember some posters wondering if Bookout could dunk? They were serious about it, too.

Kevin was one heck of a basketball player! Polla reminds me a little of him, mostly it's their size and their ability to score in close. I also saw some similarities in the post moves Hannes made in the highlight videos.

If Polla can give us some of what Bookout provided, we will be in good shape. I am excited about this class.
