Was it the gym?

Nice fairy tale. The truth is at the same point in Capels 2nd season OU was 21-10 with 5 wins against top 50 teams, no losses to sub 200 teams and no fall flat on your face collapses like the 22 point Texas debacle.

The key piece of history here is where were we at this point in Capel's last season?

We lost yesterday because the head coach did not have his team ready to play.

I would have loved to see what Coach Kruger could have done with those Blake Griffin teams. No college coach had to get Blake ready to play. He was special that way.

Let's see, were Capel's teams in 2009-10 (4-12 Big 12) and 2010-11 (5-11) always ready to play?

Even though Coach Kruger will never likely have a Blake Griffin, let's see where he has the program after his 5th season. Capel had it in the crapper.

Put a number 1 NBA draft pick on this team and we don't have 10 losses.

The fact of the matter is that in 3 of Capel's 5 seasons, we had 15 or more losses. Prior to Capel's arrival you'd have to go all the way back to 1976 to find 3 15 loss seasons.

People wouldn't be up in arms about Capel losing to this TCU team because it would have been expected.

Kruger went 5-13 with the players a year older + Osby added to the team Capel went 5-11 with. A step backwards with a superior roster.

We will see where Kruger is after 5 years and if he has won 4 NCAA tournament games and been to an elite 8. I doubt it based on what I have seen.

Why some of you people want to stake out totally indefensive positions and then try to defend them is beyond me.

Let me refresh your memory where Capel was after 5 yrs. Fired and the program on probation.

I'm pretty sure that Kruger will sail past that benchmark.

Sometimes it takes more than 5 minutes to change the entire culture of a losing program.

Says the guy who compares the sequester, which is a mathematical fact that has yet to take effect, with the Mayan calendar.

We'll see when 10% ($65 billion out of $650 billion) of defense spending starts being withheld in mid April.

We survived the Y2K bug (1-1-2000), the Mayan Calendar (12-21-2012) and now the Sequester (3-1-2013). Much ado about nothing.

Much ado about nothing.

There, I doubled down.

It is an exercise in futility to argue with anyone who doesn't think we are heading into a great future with this coaching staff. The biggest difference between our previous staff and this one is the ability to build or, in our case, rebuild PROGRAMS. To look at the disappointing end to this regular season and be so short sighted as to say the previous staff would have us in better shape is moronic. Where Capel's success in 2 seasons faded almost as quickly as it came, our success this season is only momentum towards the years to come. I predict this team will be the worst team Kruger has over the next 5 years. You only have to point to Krugers past success and realize this is so.

Sorry, but that's silly.

I could have coached Blake Griffin to a few NCAA wins.

After a couple of days thinking about it, i have to ask did the team watch the osu-ksu game in the locker room?

There's no way that game didn't have an effect on our guys - still a lot of learning/maturing/coaching to do by Kruger.

That was my thought. After hearing for 3 days that if KSU wins they can finish 3rd then is doesn't work out and they are down and lose focus
