Diamond DeShields is transferring to Tenn. They will be a team to watch in the next 2-3 years.

Unless she can play next year Tenn should have her for 2 years, most people think she will go pro early like Candace Parker did. I think Uconn should be on the look out Deshields was the most exciting player to watch in college last year and she looked unstoppable at times.

I love me some DeShields. I know majority will disagree with me but I honestly believe she the best player in the country and that includes Stewart.

I agree with you, I think if She would have played at Uconn last year she would have been the 2nd option.

I think you very well could be right. She will certainly help Tenn.

Best in the country? I think she'll have to do something to earn that. She shot about 42% from the field, 27% from three, had about 5.2 rebounds, and had about 3 turnovers per two assists. Stewart shot about 49%, 34% from three, had about 8.5 rebounds and had two assists per turnover. She may be "playground" good, but Stewart is trained to do what wins. Right now, I'm not sure that NC or Tennessee is doing that anywhere near as well.

I think that you have to compare the personnel around Stewart and DeShields, respectively, when you compare their stats. UCONN has much more talent around Stewart, which definitely helps her stats.

Not so much the case with DeShields...

Quite true. Of course, one of the reasons that UConn has better statistics is that they do make each other better. I haven't seen enough of DeShields to know if she can do that. I looked at her game by game statistics, which were interesting.
