How can anyone say last years team had more talent. They weren't even a basketball team. They had maybe an individual player better but they weren't a team.

I haven't seen anything that says that Capel is a capable coach over the years. That's been the only thing consistent over the first 5 years he's been here we've look poorly coached or we weren't playing the right guys at the right time. I can go through example after example. The first sign was his first year when he didn't play his best player the first half of that season.

Compare last years starters with today's starters (both from the 6th game of the year, in 2009, Arizona vs. OU)

PG - Carl Blair vs. TMG
G - Cade Davis vs. Cade Davis
G - Cameron Clark vs. Willie Warren
F - Tyler Neal vs. Tony Crocker
F - Andrew Fitzgerald vs. Tiny Gallon

Which Willie Warren do I get? Which TMG do I get? Which Keith Gallon do I get? I would take Fitz over Gallon anyway. Crock is the only guy I would take over last years team for sure. I would take WW over Cameron Clark too but Cameron Clark is useless.

well yea, even players during the 2008 year weren't all that pleased with Capel's coaching. They were just too good to not win.

There were times where he did a great job in 08. But some of that just disappointed me from the previous years because most of that roster was playing for 2 years and had 2 frustrating seasons. But even so how much of the 08 team was talent that Capel got us?
