No kidding. Tell me you don’t pay attention without telling me you don’t pay attention.
That is funny. Curious whether he has figured out his mistake yet.
I just made him aware of it (assuming he reads his twitterx feed). That is funny. Curious whether he has figured out his mistake yet.
Beat Michigan and it’s likely top 10.ignoring the voter error, it is interesting to me that our total AP points moved from 567 (217 points behind #12) in week 6 to 732 (26 points behind #12) in Week 7 voting.
We "gained ground" even though we moved back one spot in the poll. If you add our "missing" 16 points, we would only be 10 points behind #12.
If we beat Michigan this week, I expect a good bump since they are a name team.
It’s absolutely possible. The committee doesn’t consider conference affiliation when selecting the field, so there is no artificial cap. But the likelihood is that a few teams will struggle to keep up once league play starts, so 11-12 might be more realistic. There’s an article on espn talking about the possibility of the SEC getting 13 teams in the tourney!?!? That probably won’t happen but I could see 10-11 teams getting in. It will be interesting to follow this season.
KenPom doesn’t factor in results, including head to head. It’s a per possession metric. Other metrics are results based. The committee uses a mix of several of eachKenpom currently has OU ranked #36; that's 11 spots behind Michigan (8-3) and 12 spots behind Arizona (5-5), both of whom we've beaten on a neutral court. That's a little bit silly. At some point, you have to move past perceived talent in favor of on-court results, don't you?
in SOR OU is now #3 ...top 6 are SEC teams ..KenPom doesn’t factor in results, including head to head. It’s a per possession metric. Other metrics are results based. The committee uses a mix of several of each
