(1)Has Maddie got her full confidence back?
(2)How good is EJ?

How much Vivi improved over the summer. And see what Gilesia can do.

I think the thing about which I am most curious is how the offense will flow. I suspect that it will flow through Gabbi and Maddie with Peyton, Gioya, and Kay Kay working to get open. We became stagnant at times late last year after we quit shooting well which magnified our shooting slumps.

If someone drives, and it is cut off, there is an exposure due to the shift. We were not good at taking advantage of that exposure.

:OU-logo: these are all points of interest. Kaylon tends to get in foul trouble. She tends to reach in and pick up cheap fouls. The Big 12 refs tend to call fouls on reach ins on the slightest bit of contact. With Treece out for the early part of the season, Kaylon will need to stop gambling on defense. She is to valuabe on offense. I am anxious to see how much Vivi improved. She did a lot over the course of last year. Also I want see how much the international experience changed Gabbie. I think she is going to be terrific.

Improvement! Consistancy! Who just worked out, and who made the gym, weight room, and film room a BIG priority as individuals to make a big jump in productivity. We have depth, we have competition, we have ability. But we need players that can play ALL the time at All-Star levels if we want to be serious about conference championships and final fours.

Consistency would make a huge difference. Right now, only two players have shown a reasonable level of consistency, Gabbi and Peyton. Others have to stop the silly mistakes and provide consistent scoring and rebounding.

And truthfully Peyton lost that consistency toward the end of the year.

Except for the fouls (which were a big problem) Kay Kay was our most consistent and dependable scorer - as long a she could stay on the floor.

If you read or listened to the comments by the Big-12 head of referees at the recent coaches meetings, it is clear they are planning to call fouls much more closely this year. He said they tried it 2 years ago but sort of gave up. He says this time they are serious about improving the "flow of the offense". It will be interesting to see how that impacts the games. As an example he described one "practice" game they worked and said there were 62 fouls called. Wow! He believes it will take coaches and players 2 to 3 years to adjust to the new style.

So early on, it will be very interesting to see if it really happens and how we will adjust to it.

If we continue to reach and slap, I can predict how it will affect the Sooners.

I suspect that this will kill WV. I'll be interested to see if they follow through with this against Baylor.

I'm really looking forward (no pun intended) to see how Maddie plays the four, which I suspect is where she will start and play the most.

I'm also really interested in how Gilesia plays. It sounds like she will push for time.

I am looking forward to seeing if Gioya really becomes confident because I think she is really good but still doesn't have the right mindset. Also, if she stops the silly fouls.

Looking forward to seeing Penzo and EJ play; to seeing if Maddie is back and how much Derica and LaNesia have improved.

Had been looking forward to seeing Treece play as she sounded as though she was ready to do the work. The thumb injury has to be a big disappointment to her.
