Can I get a 3rd choice?

A) on the rise and will get better.
B) maxed out.

I will take A but reserve my right to switch to B if the above proves wrong. Basically what Coach has decided to do.

I have no problem with CLK's starting five. That said, I would like to see Fitz getting more minutes, and possibly Hield taking some of Hornbeak's PT. But not that big of a deal, really. Mark my word (not that my "word" should be etched on a stone tablet), by the start of conference play, the freshmen guards will be noticeably improved and the team will be shooting the ball better.

I actually like the starting lineup we currently have except, I would put Grooms at the point. Especially going against Arky and their uptempo Defense. But Hornbeak has been good in spurts and can defend, while Pledg at the three gives some mismatches, you can't take his offense off of the court. And I like Fitz off of the bench, he is still getting starters minutes and we need the athleticism of Mbaye and Roe on the defensive and offensive side to start. Having all three out there at the same time, just does not make much sense to me. I know this year's lineup has not produced a great offense yet, I think in time the Offensive production will come. Pledger will shoot even better than he is so far, and Mbaye will make those inside hook shots that he has missed... It will come together. By the way, I really like Cousins and think he will be a great Sooner (thought he had a pretty good game on Friday), but I think right now we need Groom's experience.

Grooms
Hornbeak
Pledger
Mbaye
Osby

Agree.

I like this lineup.

Hornbeak will be our best all around guard by year's end, when you consider defense, handles, shooting, rebounding, etc.

He currently leads the guards in FG%, leads the team in steals, and compares with all the guards in rebounding except Buddy Hield. He's our best on-ball defender by a long shot...well, he and Clark are close.

I like the 5 we are putting out there right now.

Osby and Pledger are no brainers

M'Baye is trying to do too much and rushing his shots now, but he is potentially a big plus for us. He needs the non-conference minutes to be ready for conference.

I thought there were two major pluses with Cousins against Northwestern State. First, he seemed to find his offense and Second he and Hornbeak were in there at crunch time. Grooms and Clark had been getting the frantic minutes. This was a major move. Cousins still had too many turnovers (3) but at the same time had four nice assists.

Clark seems to be contributing more but Fitz is nowhere near the productivity he provided as a starter. That is an important for later on in the year.

Neal is contibuting, particularly in rebounding.

I would like to see the Sooners go more to the high low post game. All four of our inside players can hit the 15 footer well and they should burn any team that tries to double us down low. And if the give M'Baye any kind of opening he is quick to the rim from up top.

I like it how it is. I could see putting Hield in for Pledger, but then you could lose Pledger. Lose, as in, mentally.

Grooms
Pledger
Hield
M'baye
Osby
