UVerse showed the entire game. As I remember, the next batter lined a shot back at Paige who knocked it down and threw her out. Then, Paige walked a batter. The final hitter struck out.
Paige seemed a bit weaker in the sixth and seventh. She didn't have her control late.
Romero took a bit of air out of the Baylor sails with her home run. Until then, Self's double was our only hit, and only Wodach had a hard hit ball other than Self. We weren't making good contact. The Romero shot was a no doubt home run to left.
I think Baylor still felt that they were OK when down only one. Erin's two-run shot seemed to be it. Baylor seemed to go through the motions a bit after that. Nirschl's liner over the center field fence was a blast. That left no doubt, and it did Baylor in, 5-0.
Baylor only hit one deep fly and had no extra base hits. A lot of singles. But, most of those singles were infield outs that just happened to be in the right place.
