What this game showed

Lattin only had the 2 FTs but boy did he step up defensively the last 4 minutes

Yes he did. His stats are not an accurate measurement of his contribution to this win.

I can still remember an undefeated #1 Notre Dame football team of about forty years ago going into Baton Rouge to play a rather mediocre LSU team. Notre Dame had a powerful offense. But, every time ND got inside the thirty, they got a 15-yard holding call (it was 15 at the time). The game ended up Notre Dame 0 LSU 21, the only blemish for Notre Dame.

Strange things happen in Baton Rouge.

Well, at least you got the part about LSU winning the game right.

more of them will play in the nba then our starters. Its just a given. Not a bad thing cause i could care less. I've just always wondered if we could match up ok with a team that had more talented players and out play them. And we did...on their home court. Great win!

1 = 1

You were there? Tell us all about it.

Was it 21-0? No
Was Notre Dame #1? No #7
Was it ND's only loss of the year? No
Was it a mediocre LSU team? They were top 20
LSU made 3 defensive stands inside the 10

I've never had any doubt when we play veteran teams or teams that are as talented as us or teams that can shoot...I've always had a question about what our team would do if they played a team that was hands down more talented...

And I'm not saying those LSU kids are better players cause they aren't...but that LSU team is more talented. And we went in there with their crowd more amped them they've ever been and beat their @$$...that my friends is a very great win. Our boys went in and beat the #1 pick with his supporting cast playing as good of a game as they coulda. This team continues to amaze me...

What this game showed is...we can win it all no matter who we play...it's all about if we bring it...

BOOOOOMER!

I'm what? Lol

OU has a great road win and OU fans find a way to not be happy. Unbelievable.

I will share a secret about college basketball. Good teams play bad and lose games. Even great teams play bad but great teams tend to win even when they don't play their best.

Be happy. Find the positive.

I disagree that they are more talented. The most "talented" player on the floor wore an LSU jersey, but the next 3 to 4 wore OU jerseys. Also, talent aside, the best basketball player, and it's not even close, wore an OU jersey.

First of all, more athletic doesn't mean more talented. I don't see how you can justify your statement that they are more talented than we are. I find that pretty ridiculous, in fact. I'll agree that they're probably more athletic but so what?

And if you think all of their starters will play in the NBA, that, too, is ridiculous. It's probably 1 for each team but I could see Lattin, possibly one of the young ones depending on how they progress, and maybe even Manyang in the NBA be of his size. For them, maybe Quarterman in addition to Simmons makes the NBA. They're a pretty good team and yesterday's win was a good one, but they're not nearly as talented as you think they are.
