Are a fan of good old fashioned hard nosed defense? Do you like fast paced scoring? A well run halfcourt offense? Well executed out of bounds plays? Fullcourt pressure D? Or something more specific like three pointers, dunks, or blocked shots?

Just curious.

I love defense and shot blocking. Few things get me more jacked up as a fan than to see a guy catch up to a fast breaking offensive player and then swat his stuff. Or a helpside defensive shot block. Love that stuff!

How about you?

I'll be honest. The only thing I like about basketball is the name Oklahoma on the jersey. I love that name, though...

The more BB I watch, the more frustrated I get that each game is completely changed by the stripes. I don't mind the specific calls as much as I do the inconsistency between games... I hate watching an OU game where post play is brutal and rebounds are done by committee and toughness alone and then turning to watch Duke or some random midmajor play where the guards can mug all day but the posts better watch their manners or they'll be tossed.

Three things:

1. Good, solid, fundamentally sound defensive basketball. I respect the guy that can pick a pocket, but I'd rather watch 5 guys work together, and frustrate the heck out of the other team's offense.

2. Good passing. Love watching a guy make an extra pass, or a team give up a good shot, for a great shot.

3. Shooting. I love watching guards that can fill it up from deep.

I love the atmosphere and emotion of the game. In college basketball anyone can win on any given day. Sure 9 times out of 10 the Kansas, Kentucky's and Dukes of the world are going to beat the Iowa States of the world but on that one night in Ames, ISU can beat any of those teams.

Upsets happen in all sports but I think they are much more common in college basketball. VCU is in the Final Four! Who would have thought that? I seriously doubt a single person (other than a VCU garduate or parent of a player/coach) picked VCU on their bracket. It just shouldn't be but it is. That is what makes college basketball great.

1.) Rebounding. I love when a team only allows one shot opportunity and also attacks the offensive glass. It frustrates and demoralizes the other team. Watching a player or team dominate the glass is awesome.

2.) Shot blocking.

3.) Slashers.. I like watching guys who can get to the rim and get fouled. Nolan Johnson and Terrell Everett were a couple of my favorite OU players ever for that reason.

I love great teamwork, whether on defense or offense. Arizona ran a couple of set plays against Texas that were beutiful to watch. On defense, I love it when the players switch correctly and take a charge or anticipate a pass and make a steal.

Okay, I'll be a bit more positive.

1. The midrange jumper. I love seeing a big set a killer screen on a cutting guard to give a guy just enough space to hit a 10-15 foot jumpshot. Lost art.

2. Post play. When a big man can fake and juke his way into an easy shot is wonderful, but the ability to move without the ball and open up the offense by moving defenders around without even touching them is even more beautiful.

3. The momentum timeout. I love the tweet after a huge basket as one coach calmly walks onto the floor to restore a broken team's spirit and the other team races to their bench to celebrate. That's something you get in no other sport in existence!

You guys are crazy.

I love awesome dunks.

Players willing to take charges and get floor burns and most of all, momentum changing 3-pointers.

In terms of a system, I have always loved the frantic, full-court pressure defense. That dates back to the "40 Minutes of Hell" days at Arkansas with Nolan.

Individually, love seeing a fast break shot get swatted to the stands, or a clutch 3-pointer. Would have to say those are my two favorite.

I enjoy watching basketball period, Hate the NBA that isn't basketball. I love the college game, The end of the Butler Florida game does it get any better than that. I also love a good high school game, My dream would be to get to watch Duke at Cameron Indoor, definitely on my bucket list. I should probably do this soon I am not getting any younger. Why I like it, well you can probably see this already but its the atmosphere.

even though im not a huge fan...but Jimmer, Steph Curry and the like.

The different styles of each team defensively...

Each team can have its own identity, more than just the identity of the players on its roster...

Also, digging into the actualy game itself...My favorite aspect is outside shooting...the TREY BALL!

You should try watching the NBA now, if you haven't recently. It's still not as pure as college, but it's gotten a lot better in the last 5 years or so. They actually call traveling and palming, and teams (some) are actually playing defense now.

The NBA product is a lot better than the NCAA product right now. At least it has been this season.

Heart, hustle, hardwood. Or that kind of stuff. Team identities. Year in year out you know the style and type of game you're going to get with that team.

Progression of players, freshman from the beginning of the season to the end, seniors stepping up and becoming leaders.

Oh and guards like Kemba Walker who can score.

My two favorite players of the Sampson era.

Everyone knows about Hollis, but I can never state enough just how valuable of a team player Selvy was. Had the versatility to guard the team's best big man or best shooting guard/small forward. He was a defensive nightmare for opposing teams.
