We keep seeing names like Carter, Swilling, Poland, etc come up over the last few days, but where are the bigs? Where are the forwards? Next year, we'll be ok at two of the guard spots with Pledger and Davis, but we desperately need some bigs and preferably a forward.

I know. I'm beginning to think that if Tiny comes back we could win 18-20 games and if he doesn't come back we could win 10-15.

Good point DM. I've been sunshine pumping in my mind that we're gonna be ok given the plethora of playing time at a big time school like OU. Capel is still very capable of reeling in big fish...but right now there is no margin of error with the guys we bring in and other than N'jiye and maybe T Jones (who is more of a 3-4) I don't see anything. Could be a bad omen...but I will take as many good swingmen as we can get. That's OSU's trad'l path to the bubble, which would be a success for us next year.

Either Capel know something we don't about N'diaye and T. Jones, there are recruits we haven't heard about yet, or we are teetering on the edge of disaster.

The thing about guards is you can get alot of swing guards in recruiting. The rarities are dribble drive pgs and bigs.

i'm worried, sure. a lot of backcourt guys being offered it seems, and if the n'diaye prospectus doesn't go our way, there don't seem to be many if any backup plans for immediate help inside next year. what i'm concerned with is taking a guy late just because we have to. i don't want it to be another project that we waste 2-3 years with and a scholarship on.

+1

I'm worried about the second half of that post.

I think this is very possible and we may hear more after the weekend.

I expect the commitments to start rolling in. We have plenty to offer.

The coaching staff had to know by last October that Allen and Hardrick were not going to help and even best case the team needed to add 2 inside players and a combo or point with WW likely gone. So most of the needs were known before fall signing. I don't get why 1 big wasn't added in the fall at least.

Any news on Washburn? I mean he's only 6'7, so not a true Big, but his clips show some pretty good athleticism and he should be able to grab some boards.

Quick or anyone else, do we have any players coming in this weekend? If so, who are they? What are everyone's guesses on the remaining commitments?
