Which Big XII road games do you think OU can win?

So I just looked a few up, and this is kind of interesting...

In the time frame being discussed (2001-present), OU has the same record against UT in Austin as it does against OSU in Stillwater -- 3-9 (.250).

OU is also 5-2 (.714) against Kansas State in Manhattan (impressive), and 3-4 (.428) against Iowa State in Ames.

OU is 5-7 (.416) against Tech in Lubbock.

Like most, OU has struggled mightily against KU in Lawrence (0-6).

I didn't look up Baylor, because I figured OU dominated there until just a few years ago.

Only surprising record was our record in Lubbock. Again Jeff, I said games in Stillwater were winnable which is to say that historically we have had success there and the games have been very competitive. They can usually go either way. Same as games in Austin. Almost always winnable down there. Sure we've lost more than we have won but we have won, more than a couple of times, without Blake, and we've had far more success than OState has had in Norman. Capel had a better Bedlam record % wise than either Sutton to speak to recent Bedlam success. Lawrence is not a place I would say was winnable. I automatically count it as a loss. I don't do that with games in Stillwater. Ever...

Who cares about all that history? Has this group of players won a game in stillwater? No.

And that was against lesser OSU teams than this one.

As for beating Baylor in waco, didnt Baylor just beat Kentucky the other day?

You guys do this over and over. You set yourself up for failure. If this thread were to pop back up 3 months from now it will be silly how many people are predicting road wins when we finish 2-7 or 1-8 on the road.

Teams win 20 games and go to the NCAA tourney with below .500 road records every year. Its reality.

But to answer the question, I think we can beat TCU and Texas TEch on the road. 2-7. And if you want to use history as an example we have lost at Tech when they were not NCAA calibur teams many times, so even beating them on the road would be an accomplishment.

For the record, I am predicting 4 road wins. I think anywhere from 3-5 is hihgly likely to occur. I will be upset with less than 3 and extremely happy with 5 or more. It is still very early and tough to tell much. OU needs to go 7-2 or better at home and then win 3 or more on the road. That would be a strong showing in conference play with a 10-8 conference record. If they could push it to 11-7 that would be great.

11-7 in this league is probably the ceiling. I think 10-8 is most likely, 9-9 a def possibility.

If we go 2-7 on the road, I guarantee you we won't make the tourney. If this team is tourney-good, we'll win more than 2 road games.
