“I hope the league looks at it,” Weber said. “This is our second game we’ve had to play someone off a bye week on the road. ... If we are going to have a good league, we need to have a balanced schedule for everyone.”

I can understand his point that a team probably does get an advantage with a week off during the conference season and he did have to go to ISU and OU when each team had a week off. However, he omits that he got Texas at home after his team had a week off.

Whining. If a team gets a bye, then somebody is going to be playing a team coming off a bye. That's the way the math works out.
OU is the better team. It doesn't matter who had more time off.

A little of both. Not something he should be focusing on, but even before the OU/KSU game, I saw something on that, and the team coming off the bye week was winning at a pretty high clip. The only answer is to try to balance it out more (if it isn't already), or to try to have teams play on the road after a bye.

Not a big deal IMO though.

It's whining. How weak can you get? He shouldn't have brought that up, made him sound like crybaby.

Honestly, it isn't what Weber says that makes him sound like he's whining. That's just his normal tone of voice. Very annoying and, yes, he was obviously whining.

This is the kind of thing he should bring up with the league/coaches after the season. Not an in-season thing because there's nothing you can do about it now.

LK is an absolutely different breed.

The travel issues to WV were terrible. LK said immediately after the OT loss that they didn't play a factor - even though everyone knows differently.

Dude doesn't talk about excuses. Love it.

He is whining.I don't how many times I have seen a team coming off extended time off get beat because they are rusty from not playing.

Whining, sniveling whining at that. this is basketball, it doesn't take a week to recover.

Only whales can understand him.:D

How many teams does he get to play after a bye week? The same as everyone else I assume. Seems like silly whining to me.

Let the local media bring that up for you. If they don't due it just keep quiet and raise the issue behind the scenes if you think it merits discussion.

The reason it came up is they had to play teams twice after they had a week off and everyone else only had to do it once. He's refering to how the conference set up the schedule......and he's right.

I think that is pretty clear. My point is don't make a public issue out of it. Ask a local media guy to write about it or simply bring it up behind the scenes. Even if he is correct to raise the issue, eh makes himself look bad.

These kids are 20 years old , they aren't tired. Shut up and play, lol

Saturday, March 1 (3PM)
TEXAS at OKLAHOMA

This week, OU plays Monday night at KU, while Texas hosts Baylor Wednesday night. So, OU gets two extra days to rest/prepare for the Horns. It would be fine if Rick Barnes whines about this fact at about 5:15 on Saturday.

Those comments by Weber really take the cake. Was Weber whining? YES!!! The guy needs to get his big boy britches on and quit sniveling like a little girl.

Sniveling has been used quite a bit. He does snivel. It's annoying.
