You underestimate Fowler, and I probably overestimate Allison, although I think he's a better shooter than Cade. Like I said, Cade is a more complete player, though, and I agree Cade will have a better career.
The original intent of me listing all of Sampson's recruits was to point out that Sampson's first 3 recruiting classes were better than Capel's, who everybody claims is such a great recruiter. Regardless of how much I overestimated Stone, Allison, and maybe Evans, the point is right now all 3 would be playing this year because Capel has had so many misses (early, Maze, Willis, Allen, Cannon, Patillo, etc.).
I underestimate what Fowler did at OU? I gave you his stats. Now, if you are going to argue with what he did at TCU, I really don't see the point. At TCU is meaningless for what he did AT OU.
Maze, Patillo, and Clark weren't "misses" from a basketball sense, they either had attitude issues and/or didn't care about school. Should Capel have seen that when he recruited them....an argument can definitely be made for Clark.
Willis is a guy that I think we can all agree has been a disappointment. He has some skills (you don't average what he did in that class in the state of Georgia and not have skills), but he obviously hasn't put in the work necessary to became a solid to good college player.
Allen was nothing but a project.
Cannon = a big WTF
