Who's going to Kansas City?

Im in....flying in Thursday morning. Will be going to the Thursday evening and Friday session.

19th straight and 21st total. KC is great, but wish they would move it around some.

My first was 84. Had planned to go in 83 but OU got beat at home by Kansas and didn't go to Kansas City. Back then only 4 teams went to Kansas City and there were two games Friday and the championship game on Saturday. All eight teams didn't start going until 86. Missed 95, 98, 01, and last year.

I live here but, unfortunately, won't be there. I had scheduled to go to some Royals' spring games long ago and wasn't thinking about the Big 12 tourney at the time.

Live here but I have to fly out to Vegas next weekend. I'm bummed out.

between job, bills and kids in college....son playing juco baseball DH, I'll be on the road coming back...on Saturday...hopefully in time to watch game on the tube...MAYBE go, depends on who we will play. ku, isu, ksu no...tickets won't be cheap.

I don't have tickets, so I'm going to be buying them off the street. Two years ago (when OU was a #2 seed), I actually got into the Thursday evening session for $10 because UT, WV, and Baylor were in OU's session....that would be another dream scenario. Unfortunately, I think ISU will probably end up in the Thursday session this year as the #6 seed. And since ISU brings a huge following, I may be paying much more for a ticket this year.

And if both KU and ISU make the semis on Friday, it will be a very tough ticket.

yup..

what's funny is all the talk here in town is about how KC is such a "college basketball town"...reality is IF ku or to a lesser degree ksu isn't playing then no it's not.

We have a tourney around Thanksgiving...GREAT teams...unc, uf, all the big ones...usually ksu or ku is in it...the ONLY game that is a sellout is the game ku or ksu is in.

Good luck!

My first was '84 also. Kind of a warmup for the Kemper disappointment 4 years later if you think about it. Finals were Saturday then, but later. Went in 85 vs. ISU, then skipped until '99.

Going skiing with our 2 sons, and 3 of our grandsons (11, 8, and 7) in Breckenridge over their spring break next week. I'll probably miss both the Friday and Saturday games (traveling). We will even have to watch the NCAA 1st round games from Colorado.

I'll be there in spirit. Note that I hope OU is playing on Friday and Saturday.

OU should have won in 84 but some really bad officiating prevented it.
