Wisconscin beats #4 MSU

I don't think he was being negative. I think he was saying that OU is a great team, but if we had a few more bad breaks we'd look more like MSU right now. If Buddy missed a few games and we lost a few close ones we'd be in MSU's position. I'm glad we've kept winning, but I still think MSU is really good even with a few loses just like I'd think OU was really good if we had a 3 loses right now instead of 1.

people like this should simply be banned. In real life you don't tolerate people that are constantly negative. You exclude them from your life. I really don't understand why on the internet there is some feeling we should allow annoying people to participate.

Don't worry, big brother is watching. Only he truly knows who is annoying.

Agree. I'm still shaking my head at how close that 3 at the end of the OSU game came to banking in. That was scary.

Some folks just have a way of taking a silk purse and turning it into a sow's ear.

The difference between a good season and a great season is ... winning the close games. There are tons of close finishes in college basketball games, especially in conference games. Teams have great seasons by finding a way to win those close ones.

The OU-WVU game this past Saturday is a prime example. If OU does not shoot lights-out from the Free Throw line, then that win likely becomes a loss. Great FT shooting greatly helped offset poor FG shooting. OU found a way to win.

Hopefully, the Sooners find a way to win tonight in tough Hilton Coliseum.

Exactly...."luck" can play a huge factor in close games. For example, you can draw up a perfect play for a last-second shot. It can be executed perfectly, but the shot might "rim out". Conversely, you could butcher a play in the same exact scenario and throw up a horrible shot, but it goes in for the game winner.

You could certainly limit your margin for error in the above scenario by being fundamentally sound and taking a high percentage shot....but in the end, the ball has to go in the basket....and luck is sometimes involved in that.
