The all college must be licking it's chops. Imagine having Kansas, K-State or Mizzou at the All College. The Revenue would be bananas.

:ez-laugh:
1) What mid-major is Kansas, KSU and Mizzou going to?
2) Why would that be a priority for KU, KSU & Mizzou? I would think they'd do an All College in Kansas City and invite a Duke, UNC or Memphis type and keep the money themselves. Wouldn't they?

Kansas is scared to death of the Missouri Valley Conference. They want to stay as far away as possible from Northern Iowa and Bradley.

lol @ the great bill self

You are correct in that the Missouri Valley has posed more challenges to KU than the Big 12.
Personally, I'd like to see KU beg and plead to get in the ACC. I think the lack of competition in the Big 12 has hurt KU in March.

I genuinely believe Kansas would do much better in the ACC. You can't dominate your conference like they have and actually be getting the competitive games you need to be battle-tested year-in and year-out. They need a stronger conference.

It is obvious the conference has not got KU ready for March. Most years they fall way short of the expectations of themselves and their fan base.

The ACC is a dream conference for KU. I don't see it happening though.

This the best thing about realignment! Sorry Kansas couldn't happen to a more deserving school or fans... Ha!!

I thought Bill and Lew had everything under control. lol Would you mind posting a link to the MWC message board for Cheno? Thanks.

kansas should be on their knees thanking a&m's stupidity, b/c they are about to get an invite to the 16 pac

Kansas should be in the Pac-N for the basketball awesomeness we'd have with UCLA and Kansas in the same conference with OU, Tex, UW, Arizona and Standford (and Wazzu/OSU if they get it together). Texas A&M should get shown the door since the Pac-10 doesn't need them to get Texas's markets and I'd much rather have that group of cultists go down south where they belong.

I don't know how much more prepared KU could have been this year if they were in another conference. After all, the Big 12 was arguably the best conference in the country and ranked #1 in the RPI.

What happened?

They do. Why would I need a link to the MWC message board?

Not sure what there is to laugh at unless one gets amused when seeing a coach wearing a National Championship ring.

I don't know where Kansas will end up, but I know they'll still be better than OU in hoops...and if Kansas does have to take a minor step back and Bill Self eventually decides to bolt for his alma mater, we'll really be laughing then, right?

They probably won't be laughing at the end of the week.
That's the real funny thing. My gut tells me there's going to be quite a few folks lookin' awfully silly.

I think most folks aren't cheerleaders on going to a certain conference. I see where you as a KU jocksniffer was very distraught about KU going to a mid major conference. Personally I've always had an existential outlook when it comes to my support of OU. You as a KU fan should pray that KU can Lobby Dodd and Joe C. to keep your school from flopping. Those are the two guys who hold the Big12 fate.

:facepalm
KU hoops isn't flopping whereever they go.
And Texas holds the fate of the Big 12. Joe C has the easiest job of any of the schools. He just has to wait and see what Texas does and then say.....
"we'll do that".

In the end, they did end up in a mid major. Unfortunately, it wasn't the MWC. It was the Texas 10.
