With Kansas going to a mid major......

Premature midjaculation.

Oh, there was a lot of that. There for a minute there was more threads about KU not going to a BCS conference than what OU should do. The funniest part was the leading vote getter in one poll was to the effect of "who cares where OU goes as long as KU gets left out". Hilarious!!!!!

the hilarious thing is this whole fiasco showed KU fans where they stood on the totem pole, at the bottom rivaling baylor.

Didn't show me that at all. Showed me how a handful of posters here looked darn silly talking all that smack not knowing what in the world they were talking about!!!!! :ez-laugh:

But the good thing now is we get to lace up twice a year vs every team with balanced scheduling and see who the top guy on the totem pole is each year.
No more excuses.

Yes it did show that. One of the last things worried about was whether or not the basketball school was invited or not. If OU, or Tech, or even OSU would have left for the Pac 10, I believe, KU would have had to rely on Baylor not being chosen to go with us.

I think it was that close. The networks and Texas had just enough time to salvage what would generate money for them. OU is not guaranteed, IMO, any more money than we have now. Most likely, we will lose a little money by staying. KU obviously gained by the crowd coming back.

OU will make more $ by the shear fact that the tv money will be distributed between 10 teams instead of 12.

Down the road, I agree, we may have sold ourselves short.

OU also gets 33% of the $20 million that Neb/CO will have to pay to the conference for their breeches of contracts.

Yep. From now on, when I see the letters KU, I will think about Ned Beatty.
