Since the advent of 3 point line, this has to be the worst offensive showing in Sooner history. Especially when you consider how horrendous kstate is. This type of performance is flat out unacceptable. I think Lon can get us back to sweet 16 in a year or two but I wouldn’t question joe c if he decided to move on after tonight.

I’d say Buddy & CO final 4 was worst performance ever, even though against a far better opponent. The national stage and stakes made that way worse and its in the record books for a reason.

I was in Austin the afternoon we scored 37 inside the Erwin Center. If memory serves we missed our first 20 attempts from deep. That was in 2004; Lavender's freshman year. We lost by 29.

If anything approaches that self-preservation has prevented it from re-entering my frontal lobe.

Nope

The worst was the final regular season game of Kelvin Sampson’s coaching career at Texas - but I get your point. It was probably the worst ever offensive game by our starting five. The bench scored 30 points. We should be undefeated when the bench scores 30 points.

I have never seen such poor shooting in all my years of following OU basketball. First half 8% from the 3 point line. If I'm right the youngest Williams had more points than Doolittle, Reaves and Manik together. Lon needs to have a lineup check because his so called "Big 3" can't seem to get it done.

I didn't watch the game tonight. I'm finding life is much better not watching OU basketball. For the first time in about 40 years. Congrats to Lon.

So you watched during capel but not now?

That says more about you then lon

OU basketball, both men and women, are so boring. Every year it’s supposed to be better but ends up being more of the same. Both coaches are too old, to set in their ways. Both teams get pre-conference wins against weak foes then crash and burn in conference play. I like Lon and I was really happy when we hired him, but that was a decade ago. We need to turn the page. As for Sherri, the time to turn the page passed years ago.

I'm beginning to think that Lon's strengths were in his assistants. Since they have left for other jobs the team is really stagnant.

I love Lon but this team is unwatchable.

I'm back and forth on Lon. In his defense he didn't miss the wide open layups and dunk tonight. I do get tired of him not changing things up though. Maybe a 1-3-1 trapping zone with Kur protecting the rim every once in awhile to change looks? I am a fan of using a time out to rip ass but he's never done that and most kids today wouldn't respond to that probably.

Looked to me like ISO ball was in full effect. Zero ball movement. Everyone standing. Lon deserves a lot of the blame. First half K State had several direct drive layups. How about switching up the D? Try a 3-2 zone. K State sucked from the perimeter why keep giving up layups? Make them beat you from deep.

I was thinking last night that as much crap as Kelvin used to get for having terrible offensive performances from time to time, I honestly feel like on average, Kruger's teams have done it more.

In my mind I'd use 60 points as the cutoff. Maybe one of these days I'll have time to go do the research, but either way, over the years, Lon's teams have produced quite a few stinkers.

I really like Lon and think he’s a great guy and he’s been a great coach. I think currently, it’s time for him to retire. OU basketball is Stagnant and boring. Not a lot of talent and they look lost way too often. There’s a disconnect somewhere.

We should expect a much higher quality product from OU basketball.

What we’re seeing is total crap.

Honestly, this team is the least fun I've had watching Oklahoma basketball in my life.

I don't really know why that is, but it's how I feel.

They're so boring to watch. They have no one who can consistently score. Reaves has been a huge disappointment. Doolittle and Manek are huge head cases. There's no flow to the offense. The coaches don't seem to know what to do. It's extremely frustrating. It's crazy they're still on the bubble and I feel this way. I can't even imagine what OSU fans feel like.

I barely even watch the away games. I usually turn it on, then do something else while it's on in the background. It's just not fun this year.

That's my biggest thing. These teams seem to get worse as the year goes on. Should be the opposite. At least Kelvin's teams got better and the young players improved as the year went on.

I Never thought we’d see worse offensive basketball than some of Sampson’s teams. At least his teams played good defense and rebounded well. You could also count on his teams to be tough. They may have been awful on offense but they were tough everywhere else.

The last several years of Lons teams haven’t been good at much of anything. This years team is terrible on offense. Terrible at rebounding and not great defensively. They seem to be getting worse in the turnover department as well. Overall, not good.

Some of you seem to forget how BAD some of Kelvins teams were offensively!!! It wasn’t pretty...and Capels last couple of teams weren’t great either.

As bad as some of you think it is....there’s a good chance this team makes it in the big dance...so it isn’t as bad as it seems!!

Hell, early in the season...OSU looked brilliant and won the pre-season NIT...and now they are looking at 0-8 in conference play so far!! This same KSU team whipped WV in Manhattan...so nothing is easy. Bad shooting makes everything look worse than it really is.

We haven't forgotten, in fact it informs our views of the current situation. At least it informs mine.

Matters less when you are awesome at defense and rebounding, as Kelvin's teams usually were.
