Would OU/Sherri Coale eccept NIT

Im not saying that Mulkey is a good person in any sense! I don't know her personally, and i'm thinking most of not all of us on this board are in the same boat. All the shadiness aside, i just think she's a good coach. None of her players are lacking in the fundamentals, and are extremely disciplined. I truly believe with the group we have now, Mulkey coaching us this season would have resulted in more wins. Now that's not saying I prefer her as a person over SC, i definitely do not. She's hideous to look at, and extremely obnoxious. But i would take that and sweep the big 12, and win the tournament year in and year out over what we have right now. Sorry Syb, or anyone else that may take extreme offense to this, but that's just how I feel right now.

I just want us to win and be a proud program like we were!
+1

I have to agree that Mulkey is probably one of the better coaches in the nation. You don't keep winning at the level Baylor wins at if you are not. I don't think she does the bulk of their recruiting but she does have 3 assistant coaches that do.....and it is not the banker or the cheerleader (if you know the makeup of their coaching staff, you will understand that statement).

I went to the game last night and what an amazing game. By the end of the 3rd quarter, I thought.....this is one of the best basketball games I have seen in a while ....
like watching a chess match. I really, really wanted to see Baylor have to play the 2 managers they put on scholarship, but it did not happen.

Texas got a little helter skelter in the 3rd quarter and definitely in the 4th quarter and began to play a different game than the first half........

so what I wonder, the Texas coach is known as a robo recruiter. She has the players now and also a top 5 recruiting class coming in. I began to wonder if she can coach at the championship level........?? Very interesting to watch last night.

I feel the same about Aston. I think the real recruiters are her staff; Thompson, Carey and Washington. Her sideline coaching is her weakness. Putting a staff together is her strength. For having a roster full of All-Americans, they do a lot of not so smart things sometimes.

I truly expected Texas to use their bench and pull away from BU in the 2nd half. With Baylor short on players and long on inexperience, I thought Texas would win by at least 8-10. Instead, BU stuck with every UT run and never got far behind, Lauren Cox was nails, Brown was...Brown, and those young Bear guards didn't play like freshmen. Kept waiting for McCarty to take charge and Holmes and Higgs to fill the basket, but that didn't happen.

Hate her all you want, KMulkey lifts another trophy, AND she signed the NUMBER ONE class in America this year, and those girls will likely trump the premier players Aston signed.

Back to the OP, I think OU gets a dance card. It's been a long year, but they've earned it. As for the WNIT---oh, why not play?
