i was talking to a ku fan yesterday and told him this. who would have thought that 6-8 weeks ago out of ku, ksu, mu, and ut that wed be feeling the the best about our future. ku fans are gripping with the departure of the twins and no clear cut leader/stud for next year. selby is most likely gone. hes been out in vegas the last week or so doing who knows what but im sure it not taking classes long distance. hes been on the ncaa's sonar anyway but im sure this wont help. hes also been told hes going to go 25-28 in the draft so hes most likely gone. thoughts are that self would be best to cut bait on this one. they could have him come back, hope he stays straight, and have him be the guy. but this is someone that never really lived up this year and didnt show the great skills that were advertised. ksu lost their team basically anf this martin crap surely cant help. ut lost their two studs and mu, while quietly optimistc, is worried underneath. their long standing in state recruiting issues dont seem to be improving despite the new coach.
i was also one that said we could do worse than pearl. im glad they didnt listen to me.
