10/17 Practice on TV

Set to record. I hope this year they show a bit more practice instead of two people talking off to the side.

Due to technical difficulties, today's practice will not air on Fox Sports Oklahoma. The show is set to air at 5 p.m. CT Wednesday on FSOK.

Is anyone watching the practice? I'm getting last weeks Spotlight on Direct TV

Technical difficulties with the TV feed is better than player difficulties doing what Sherri tells them to do.

Today is better for me watching anyway.

Cant watch it in Naples, FL. Will SoonerSports tv reshow it? Or anywhere else?

There's a couple of clips for free on SoonerSports.tv

1. There's a 5-minute interview with Coach Coale talking about her impressions of the team after 6 practices. The most notable comment, to me, is when she says Gabbi is one of the best shooters she's ever been around.

2. There's a 3 minute clip of Coale mic'd up during practice as they practice defense, specifically trapping in the corner and weak-side help.

Rumor that Sherri is moving Gabbi off the ball, maybe Pellington will be the starter...

I would be okay with Pellington being the starting pg. She seems quick and athletic. Giving gabbi the opportunity to focus on scoring more instead of setting others up.

I agree, some times Gabbi holds on to the ball for to long...

I would not be suprised to see Gabbi move off the point. She did average over 3 assists per game last year but doesn't have a penetrate and dish skill. When she tried to penetrate she mostly backed out with a few almost desperate drives all the way to the hoop which to be fair she scored on a lot of them. But I don't recall any time when she drove and dished for an easy basked. Mostly dished to an outside shooter.

From what I saw of Pellington in the world games she doesn't have an outside shot but does penetrate well and can pull up for a short jumper. If Gabbi moves not sure Pellington is ready to assume the point.

Penzo and Pellington will probably man the point spot with Gabbi always there as a secondary ballhandler, which I believe fits her better. With only 9 girls, you can only do so much. Also heard that Maddie may be injured again. Something like a quad or hamstring injury.
