+++++ #12/12 Oklahoma [10-1] vs. #8/10 TCU [12-0] Game Thread+++++

Some of TCU fans comparing TY to Baker Mayfield..and not in a good way

Toby just said OU was the first team to ever get two top 2 road wins before January.

Manek took only 5 shots and hit only one. Was TCU intent on not allowing him any shots?

Well, we waited until the last 10 minutes of the game to bring our "A-game", but we got it done! What a win! Gotta steal those road wins when at all possible!

we saw Trae calm down. He got all excited for a few minutes and took a few errant shots ... then he calmed down and drove to the hole and got things settled. And his team came away with the W.

That was good point guardin'. when things go south you settle down and go back to what you do well.

Great game........

I hope one of the coaches talks to CJ about McGusty's freethrow at the end of the game.

Why would he run into the lane as the shot is going towards the goal????

That would be the only way we could lose....getting a foul call with no time running off the clock.

Great game! A game where I (most) had almost wrote them off midway through the second half.

:dance005:

Great win! We overcame adversity on the road against an excellent team! With Trae Young we will never be out of a game.

Yeah, but he can't do it alone. If Kam stayed in his early-game funk, we would have lost by double-digits. Jumani made some big plays, and Manek got some key rebounds...and we even got some offensive help from Odomes to keep us in striking distance...great team win! But it certainly helps to have the best player in the country on our favorite team. :woot

Trae had some freshman minutes but really came through down the stretch. Don't understand why Manek was not open all night particularly with them doubling on Trae all day. We need Manek to get his shots. He is arguably our best outside shooter other than Young.

McNease coming along. That will be important going forward. He may be starting soon.

Biggest problem was what has hurt us all season. Inside defense and rebounding.

Great win away. Differential is 10-15 points home and home.

That was a big win. Road wins will be difficult for everyone this year. OU just got one against one of the better teams in the conference.

I never thought I would hear Reid Gettys complain about calls by officials that didn't go our way but it happened today.

No, he said the first such team in more than twenty years, which is still pretty darned impressive.

After the start, I thought Trae lost a little focus. There were some unnecessary turnovers and devil-may-care shots. He stopped that when they showed they could play. I think they surprised Trae a little with some open lanes. Manek stood his ground. But, nobody was really getting open looks other than Trae, and occasionally, James. Finally, McGusty got open. We got some shots blocked underneath that we don't usually get blocked. Took away a part of our game.

Amazing game, I was just about. i don’t think we played well for alot of the game and still won. Congrats team and coaches.

Well, when they literally lay on the floor in the paint for 8 seconds (I counted) and no call is made then they are committing a few oversights.

That's one hell of a win and a great performance by several Sooners!

There were 47 fouls called in the game and non were committed trying to get the other team to the line...all during the course of the game.
That's BS! The B12 needs to step in and make sure the officials don't ruin what appears to be a great B12 hoops season with several teams that could win the league!

Boomer and beat the pukes!
