I also watched UT vs. SC and they're in an entirely different tier than we are. I agree, the quick, bad decisions on offense are essentially another TO, so our TO numbers are misleading. We are giving teams so many more possessions per game because we aren't patient and just chuck up the first remotely open shot we get after crossing halfcourt. Any team worth a dang will take advantage of that and it's hard to come back from that.
These last few games have really shown how much Scott, Vann, R. Scott and Keys really helped us. We lost a lot more than I thought we lost, and Chavez is the only new player that's replacing that production, so we are running on a deficit, and not even as good as last year's team, IMO. Maybe that'll change before the season is over, but without any leadership or experience to come off the bench I don't believe it will, before it's too late anyway. I genuinely hope I'm wrong and we pull it out Sunday.
