*****#15 Oklahoma (6-2) vs. Oral Roberts (3-4) Game Thread*****

It's tough to be critical when they're up by 37. It's just natural to let up. Also, they currently only have 2 starters on the floor .... and neither Thomas or Spangler are out there.

Yeah, I understand that, which is why I said it's the only issue I have with this game. Just clean up the glass and limit Washington's offensive rebounds.

This game should be a confidence boost for Lattin. He'll probably have some struggles in conference play like all freshman, but he is showing some nice stuff here.

It applies to me, too, when I mention things like the 2 bad 3 point shots. We're all just pointing out minor issues in this game. I get it.

Exactly, if you're not trying to be perfect, then why play? It's great we have to pick minor things out like those in games like this

The goal isn't to be perfect, it's just to be better than the other teams.

Some junk points right now for ORU to make it look not as bad. But a dominate performance for the Sooners.

What a great opportunity for lattin to get all of those minutes. Good game all around..

Love all this early points all in the paint!! That's key to a successful season

Interesting comment by Thomas in the post-game interview when they asked about him getting more involved in the offense. He said he wasn't calling for the ball, and his teammates said if he didn't call for it, they wouldn't give it to him. He said he's more vocal now. I had never heard anything like that before.

He also said that Kruger is stressing getting it inside more.

Lattin was the first off the bench, and seemed to get more minutes than DJ. I think Lon is just trying to get Lattin in when he can, especially agains inferior teams. In the Bahamas, when the games were close, we barely saw Lattin at all. But maybe the coaching staff is starting to believe in Lattin as the first big guy off the bench.

They should......

I thought it was a great game. Good to see Buddy back. Still need to get Booker going. Cousins a good game after a slow start. Thomas and Spangler sensational. Lattin has a nice touch. Now we know why he heaves up a trey once in a while. He will hit one before the season is over. Maybe several.

What I liked was how we went inside to get the points while we were going 0-for outside. We couldn't do that last year. Anyone want to bet that Thomas isn't going to come near his 14 point average from last season. How would you compare him to Osby.

If I had to pick at anything I would say it looked like our on ball defense was a little soft tonight. they seemed to hit quite a few jumpers without a hand in their face. At times it looked we didn't expect them to shoot. I'm not counting the three treys from south Oklahoma City that they hit late.
