#15 OU vs WVU 7pm CST on ESPN+

Cooper needs to steal some minutes one way or another. Neither Darthard or Soares are playing that great.

Yep, you’ve cited one example. And Los is a guy who plays a low risk, steady game. The athletic guys like Oweh and Cooper rot on the bench no matter how poorly the veterans play.
and by Poorly you only mean shooting right ??

not all of the other things that it takes to win ??

Positives....the defense continues to be an excellent FG% defense. And Uzan continues to find his groove. McCollum needs to be more aggressive.

TOs are still a problem. Is there something wrong with Godwin? He just looks a little lost at times. If this team would come out and attack the basket from the start, then the open looks will be there throughout the game.

This is probably our second easiest remaining game of the season....so struggling like this is a little concerning.

You can say that about every game
Not really. You have to win home games against teams in the lower half of the league. That is, if you want to have a conference record that will get you in the tournament. The alternative is to pull more road upsets and I am not counting on that.

I am thinking the same thing about Godwin. Maybe it’s just better competition. I am disappointed in both Oweh and him lately.

Oweh needs to get going. He’s really struggling and we need him to figure it out quickly.

He went form people saying he’s the best player in the league (lol) to not being able to make a damn layup.

Coming off two road losses in which we continued turning the ball over, badly needing a win at home against one of the worst teams in the league, we came out and committed 9 first half TOs in a slow paced game. We had numerous 3-pt attempts by guys who shouldn’t be shooting 3s (it’s almost like Soares’ and Moore’s career numbers reflect the reality that they aren’t good shooters), and several of the TOs were committed by guys who have no business handling the ball in traffic. 17 games into the season … how is this happening? This team is exponentially more athletic than the past two years, but other than one dunk by Moore, you’d be hard pressed to realize that. Again, it’s one thing to talk about pace in the summer and to play that way against the Green Bays of the world. But when we play real teams, Moser reverts to his true self.

Darthard and Soares were routinely abused defensively by bigger players in the past two games. Combine that with the awful shooting, and I struggle to see how either of those guys were helping us win. How could Cooper playing in those games possibly have gone any worse than what we got from them?

I am not at practices so don’t know what happens there. But Cooper is a guy you notice in warmups. Not sure if Moser was stubborn or if there is/was something else holding him back.
