20-21 season info

Good info. Also just saw a report that eight events, including the Diamond Head Classic that OU is in, will be played in a bubble in Orlando. Funny that OU had to play in Orlando in 2016 when their November tourney had to be moved from Puerto Rico.

Sounds like OU will not be playing in diamond head classic. May be other teams pulling out as well.

In other news, we host Tech and are at TCU in December. Conference announced first two games for each team.

Not sure but sounds like several teams are backing out.

That is one tough schedule. Win four of those games and it will actually put us in good shape if we go .500 in league play, assuming the tourney stays at 68 teams.

At this point, all sports are playing everywhere. It makes no sense not to just play a normal 31 game schedule..

I think it's a logistics and liability problem as much as anything. Sure the NBA is playing but it's basically in a sealed bubble with nonstop testing and tracing. The NFL players have high-tech wristbands that give telemetric data at all times so that if someone tests positive they can tell with certainty who they came in contact with. The NFL also has extremely strict contact rules. College football is playing, irresponsibly in my opinion, with few spectators and limited travel, and they are still having outbreaks. So we will see how it goes. Flu season is coming and it's the great unknown at this point.

Wait, am I in the wrong forum? OK i'm not....

Bro, can you please...keep your deranged COVID worship on the other board? I really could not give two ****s less about everything you think you know about that subject. Really, it's not interesting to me, and the reason I posted on THIS forum is because it relates to OU basketball. Why don't you hit the bricks back to the Current Events board and have your COVIDasms to your hearts content. Nothing personal!

Chill, dude. It is the reality we are living in.

He did say "irresponsibly in my opinion" ... but otherwise his post was NOT a political post. Stating the facts about how other leagues are handling restrictions and travel challenges is VERY relevant to a thread titled 20-21 season info because those same challenges and restrictions are directly related to how our season will play out.

Your post was MUCH more political and targeted than his was.

You're being super-sensitive for no reason.

Thanks, just trying to add a little perspective. Not political in any way.

What do you mean? I didn't say it was a political post.

It's been pleasant not having 50,000 Covid posts a day on this forum, and I(and others) would like to keep it that way.

Wow not really any OU love at all. Lol!

Eh OU is 6th, but really 3-6 can go any way. Also called OU the dark horse team. Only surprise I saw was not putting the UNT transfer on the list.
