My issue is there is no real creator like Fears in there. Well, my bigger issue is when you say Moser returns.

Non Conference wins over Arizona, Louisville and Michigan are top 10 level, we just needed to not crap all over ourselves in conference play, AGAIN. Just makes you numb at a certain point.

I agree with that. He’ll be successful at his next gig. Just something about him and OU hasn’t worked out the way we all wanted it to. And I’m sure he wanted it more than anyone. But a fresh start for both parties is best

Yes I just don’t understand the narrative that he has had a long, successful career other than here. Two really good years and a couple good ones, but other than that, he has been truly awful in his own conferences, which is a fair reflection of where a team and program should be. Maybe he will have some success if he drops back down to a mid or low major, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for any more tourney runs or highly ranked teams.

Arkansas? Cincinnati last year. Iowa St the year before?

2022 we finished really strong.

It is few and far between, but is has happened.

If we beat Texas, we'll be on the bubble for the third time in four years. Believe it or not, OU fans have experienced this one other time in the past. In the four years from 1996 - 1999, we were on the bubble in three of those years. OU was one of the "last four in" all three times, perhaps even the last school in on two of those occasions. The fourth year, 1998, we were also on the bubble (wrong side of it) going into the conference tournament, but won 3 games to remove the suspense (still only got a #10 seed). Of course, the primary difference was the fact those teams were selected and these teams have not. The only time prior to the Moser era where we were on the bubble and did not make it in was 1993. That part makes this a new experience for OU fans. I just hope we can beat Texas and keep the suspense going .
