ESPN is reporting that his mother told him he will leave Tuesday to play at Sunrise Christian in Wichita, KS. You may recognize the name of this school as the place where Buddy Heild came from.

This sounds like a great idea to get him away from the OK home school circuit, and see his talent grow along with his size.

:clap

Is it worrisome that he's switched so many teams? I do like that he's going into a school house atmosphere.

I agree. This is a good move for him. He has 2 years to grow and develop against good competition.

Interesting ...

Who was that other Bahamian kid at Sunrise, the 6'8 one who was mentioned as a potential target on this board a couple months ago? I'm guessing with Kruger and Co. monitoring Hammond's development, they'll get a detailed look at him. If he's good by them, he could be a potential hedge for us missing on Randle or Boldin. Better still if he gets chummy with Jacob, could even turn out to be an invited walk-on like TJ Franklin was with Willie.

Andre Sands is the kid and he may be too undersized for OU. I see him landng at a Tulsa or Missouri State type program. Looks as if OU is done recruiting for the fall.

Smart move! Playing against tougher competition will only make Jacob better and prepare him for the next level.

They also have a top 100 pg for 2014. Hopefully he can help out with that also.
