FWIW, OU just finished with the 11th best winning percentage over the past 40 seasons of OU basketball. The teams at the top of the list had better records in conference play. The 6 conference losses in 2016 are the most of any team on the list. In the current conference configuration, more conference games are played. But still, the 2016 winning percentage of .667 (12-6) within the conference, is the lowest on the list. It was something special when Billy Tubbs went 13-1 in the Big-8 in back-to-back seasons (1984; 1985). That is part of the Wayman Tisdale legacy.

So much of the success of a basketball team is judged on how they succeed in the post season. If the 2016 Sooner team has a great post-season run, then they can move up this list. Of course a National Championship would put them at the top of any list.
