Kudos to Zo for putting up 64 but the defense was terrible. Hand down man down
Bartlesville is a real good 6a team. His offense makes it look like bad defense.
I think OU has offered, but by the end I think a ton of huge College basketball programs will, but I don't think he has any favorites.
I know it was a highlight video, but I would have enjoyed seeing just one pass from Trier. LOL. The pick & roll came open several times in the highlight, with the picker wide open a few times.
Does anyone know how many shots he put up?? What type of percentage does he shoot, and is he very athletic?? Hard to judge by a short video, but he doesn't look real explosive to me. Hope to see him play in person. Coachtalk what do you think???? I believe you have seen him play multiple times. Sam, Will, anyone else have an opinion about his total game??
Saw him as an eighth grader, smoothest player have ever seen at that age. And to those claiming "bad defense" come on, 64 points in high school against any defense is impressive, especially when he doesn't have much to work with. Give the kid some props.
When he isn't taking shots, Noah struggles, they have some good other players but he makes them go. He is very athletic, #3 play play on ESPN top 10 a couple nights ago. He dunked over someone from Siloam springs.
He has a total game, but he is just a sophomore. I think he could play harder at times. But that can be said about a ton of kids. He saves energy for offense. Like I said several have offered and big schools who can afford to offer late will. He is a sure fire top 50 player nationally in 2015.
I did give Zo props but acknowledge the bad team Defense. It was really bad defense why would you continually play him with one defender? Box and 1,zone him, trap him on the pick and roll. There is no way somebody is putting up 64 on me back in HS.
Lol. Kenton page, rotnie Clark, Kelena Azibuike, Kevin bookout.... Etc did it several times as well. I think coaches tried TONS of things on them!!
To say "no defense was used is a big missassumption. According to the Tulsa World the kid scored a clutch trey with 2 defenders in his face from what the reporters saw and to disrespect 6A Bartlesville is flat out wrong. They have 6'8 D1 Prospect committed to Brigham Young and he and their PG can flat out play both averaged double digits in that game! The Trier kid is the full package. What kid can come close to doing what hes doing very well as a sophomore. He was the #3 espn highlight a couple days ago and is beating teams everywhere on a homeschool squad. His stats- 15 boards and 4 assists while going 17/18 from free throw, 8/15 from 3 pnt. Ill take 90% from ft anyday! Over 50% from 3 wow...
All those guys I've seen them struggle against good defense at the hs level. I was there when Millwood had Roteni frustrated twice they played good team defense. And When Keelena struggled against Northeast in 03. Bartesville didn't just admit it was bad D, I am not taking anything away from Zo he is nice but that defense was trash. The springs game he had 15 and Noah almost lost. You're a coach and you're telling me that defense was good??
