2018 Recruiting

Does anyone know who we are pursuing for 2018? We have 2 point guard commitments, Tatum and Jessi Murcer. With the 3 signees coming in this summer, that gives us 10 players for year after next. Besides those 5, we will have EJ, Penzo, Rich, Mulkey, and Dungee. That is if no one transfers or we sign someone else, such as a Juco or transfer this year. Of the 5 new players, 4 are guards including 3 point guards, Tatum, Jessi, and Shaina. We need some bigs to commit, since Simpson is the only non guard coming in. I miss Soonernorm. He kept up with recruiting real good. Too bad he does not post here anymore.
 
Since the coaches are not allowed to comment until after the prospect has signed a letter of intent, we never know. But, we do know this:

OU is one of five schools she is considering. I understand she is no relation to Pam DeCosta. She is in Sacramento, the new home of Buddy, and we have had success in northern Calfornia.

A highschool teammate of Nancy Mulkey who is said to be considering OU. I have seen posted that she is best friends with Nancy, as well as mortal enemies.

On some board, I saw one post that suggested that Sedona Prince, "best friend of Tatum on the Dallas Elite" might reconsider her commitment to Texas. I think that is wishful thinking.
 
I think Murcer will be a combo guard that mainly plays off the ball, like Ellenburg a few years ago. She doesn't even play point for her HS team.

The starting pt for Westmoore last year, Jessica's soph year, was a senior 3 yr starter, Sydney Chastain. This year, Jessica's jr year, her little sister, Kristen Murcer(soph) was the starting pt. Jessica could play point, but, at the 2/shooting/scoring guard, she can concentrate on scoring and light it up.

I wonder how she would fit in on the team, with Mulkey at Center it's possible Jessica could push her for playing time, or could Jessica play the 4? Would that make a player like top 2018 prospects Decosta or Reese look elsewhere if they were looking at OU? Brings up a whole lot of questions...
 
Shepard is a lot like Lauren Cox...big athletic for her size and capable of playing outside and making an occasional 3 point shot. Nebraska started 2 bigs and Sheppard was the power forward. Regarding a DeCosta or Reese and recruiting, anyplace they go is likely to have a high level player at their position...so for instance we would be in no worse position on that than Baylor (who is in DeCosta's final 6) with Cox.

Hearing that DeCosta is favoring Tennessee... with the roster they have should be would able to play immediately, same could be said at Louisville...
 
Is there a connection of Pam and decosta? I've never heard decosta has even been on campus. Is she really considering?

OU is one of the schools that DeCosta listed for Hoopgurlz or Prospect Nation, among six. I think there has been discussion of her before. I don't think she and Pam are related.
