This weekend is the big Boo Williams AAU tournament in Virginia, does anyone know if Sherri is there? It's one of the bigger summer events and most coaches go... it could be a chance for OU to get in on some new kids, Karen is there to represent Texas...

Your coach works hard for her team From what I saw don't know if she likes recruiting or not but she was out in full force in Texas on Sunday. Saw her on a ton of floors all day and in a standing room only game I saw her watching Texas Elite Prime along with every other big 12 coach and about 50 others mostly bcs level take down San Antonio Finest by double digits.
Notables Cate Reese Tatum Veitenheimer and Amaya Brown sealed a tight game in the second half vs Top recruits Nylyssa Smith Nyah Green Liz Scott and Desiree Caldwell to get the win.

Thanks. 2019 is a pivotal recruiting year. Aftwer next season, only 8 players will be left. Rich, Penzo, EJ, Mulkey, Dungee, and our 3 new girls that will be here next month.

Meh. You and the majority of the people on here think all she does is sit at home. She is out recruiting, which is more than the skeptics think (as the poster pointed out).

It is idiocy to think that Sherri and staff don't get on the road and recruit diligently. But I choose to evaluate her team's recruiting success by whom she signs and after I see their skill set at the D-1 level.

Normally there is significant correlation between the recruiting ranking and the Final Four participants. But for certain it is far from absolute as there are a few 5*'s that are bust and there are a few 3* that become stars.

But it is generally the teams with the most blue chip recruits that advance the deepest in the tournament.

OU is always in on some of the top players per class, normally can get at least a visit, It's just getting them to sign here that's the hard part... I still think that could get better with more of a youth presence on the coaching staff, or maybe like Texas and get 2 assists who have played at the highest level possible....
