2018 Recruiting

Nicole Griffin was an effect post, and so is VPL, but OU hasn't had an elite post in a long time.
 
If OU was all big 12 caliber at PG/SG/SG you could handle role players at PF/C.
Defenders/rebounders.
 
Rankings out of high school are totally meaningless when a player is approaching her senior year.

I also like Vivi, and she is somewhat capable. But she is too slow, not athletic enough, and can only play about half a game due to either conditioning or physical limitations. When she plays against smaller posts she does excellent, but she generally disappears against taller or athletic posts.

Until we recruit inside players who are 6' 5" or taller and at least fairly athletic, we will struggle to compete with the best programs. It's that simple.

6-3 or higher. Like the Canadian prospect from 2019 Amihere who can dunk with ease.

I'm not sure how the levels of Ok high school basketball is, but she is 6'4 and if you look her up on YouTube you can see she's pretty quick and athletic for her size... could be worth a shot.

She did commit to Oklahoma State last year. But she de-committed not long after, during one of many OSU losing streaks last year.
 
The fact is it wouldn't appear that OU is getting any transfers! And the schools that are won't see them hit the floor until this current 2018 class. I hope OU gets busy starting with this list! 150 kids are a lot of kids to choose from and if they could get 5 top 100 type recruits it could help the program tremendously.

OU is recruiting a few kids, of the 3 top 10 kids 1 has committed to Uconn, and the other 2 just dropped OU recently, so I think Sherri won't be signing any top 10kids, OU could land 2 kids in the 12-30 range, but at this time both girls haven't cut/ made any type of public list... that would be Catherine Reese and Zipporah Broughton.
 
Mac you put a lot of faith in mr olson who most will tell you is One evaluator with one man watching. Zip would be a good get but she is not a top 25 on prospects and being from Alabama I'd suspect they would of seen her many times. Olsen watched a kid who is going to a mid major and only has midmajor offers twice this summer and moved her to a top 50 I just don't believe these coaches who watch kids over and over can miss. I look at offers often before I look at ranks. There's a guard from Texas with several top 20 offers not anywhere near Olson's list it's an imperfect science so I would say hard to say OU will or will not get a top 25 at the end of the day put them on the floor. Ou needs bigs and they are leaving the board quickly.

Saw where transfer Jessica Sheppard has chosen ND. It apparently came down to them and SC - she would of been a good get.

I like espn recruiting service, it's updated after every showing event, and they have gotten "it" right more so then other services... I don't put my faith in anyone.
 
Olsen is the worse. I was at the USA trials and saw him tweeting about kids and he was not even there. He also did this on day one of boo williams. Someone asked him about it and dan was pissed. The story behind espn girl hoops is that espn cut the funds. That is how prospectnation came about. All the staff from prospectnation were once espn and once espn cut the funds Mr. Clay started his own evaluation services and took everyone with him. Dan Olsen had is own services at the time and was a nobody really. Took the little money espn was offering and didn't want to hire anyone to work with him so he's a one man crew.

Seriously what is Sherri doing in recruiting?? OU needs 5 signees. Has one. Losing prospects left and right.
