2020/2021 Tidbits

OU in a good spot. Been on campus a ton already.

Speaking of good spot, anything new on Bryce Thompson's recruitment? I know KU, OSU and OU were the leaders - was hoping Self's uncertainty would help LK and the crew reel him in.

Love him as a player.

This is a good point re: KU. I don't think there is uncertainty regarding Self, but there is regarding the program as a whole. Every college basketball expert agrees that UNC's recruiting took a significant hit while the NCAA investigation was in progress. Blue chip kids who only plan to spend a year or two in college don't want to risk going to a school that might receive sanctions. If it costs KU a player or two, that will help us and every other school in the Big 12.

OU in the lead. I think KU uncertainty put ou there and proven to him that OU is likely the best choice.

Lon Kruger and staff take a different approach a lot of the time. OSU send a staff member to almost every game he plays. Its borderline obsessive...

OU is in constant contact but not everything.

I read that 2021 PG Frankie Collins lists OU among his top three programs of interest (of course, there's still a long way to go). He's a 6-foot-1, 180-pounder out of Arizona.

We need a big man who can be a boss inside and on the boards

I don't know if there's a guy available in the 2020 class (haven't looked), but I hope OU finds another guy to add in the post. Maybe a transfer immediately eligible. I don't see it happening though.

I’d take the best transfer (either type) OU could get or the SF from California.

Again, Kruger's recruiting is lacking. But aside from a class that had like, 8 people, his recruiting has not been very good, overall. Young aside, of course.

Flame away.

Hard to believe OU allowed Texas A&M of all people to come in and get an Ada kid.
